Probably because that's the only one I know! Have never really thought about it to be honest.
Fair enough. It's just the people I know of Harry's age (and a bit older and younger) don't use it any more.
Even most older people (say, 60s up - "older" people are always older than oneself, I suppose
) just write normally.
And someone in their 30s would certainly have known about sentences like "c u l8r m8" from back in the day.
Now, with more educated thumbs and better phones, nobody seems to bother.
