I see no problem with M having been a suitcase girl. She had to pay the bills. I doubt she woke up each morning eager to go to work.

This should be Harry’s farewell tour, not hers. If anything’s convinced me that she’s a narcissist, it’s that she doesn’t even seem to understand that. I doubt the vast majority of the British public care two hoots about her any more.

They went to church with the Queen this morning. That was nice to see.

The Queen and Charles are not hands on but the Queen in particular does seem to take an interest in all her dgcs and dggcs. After all, wasn't there a photo taken for the Queen's 90th featuring her and just the dggcs?
Also, as a parent, I don't understand not wanting your dcs to get a chance to see their gcs and ggcs. I've always lived away from my family and lived abroad when my dcs were little. We always made an effort to make sure to see the older members of the family each time we went home. I remember my dh insisting we went to my dgm on the way to airport at the end of one trip. We took a picture of her and ds1 who was almost two. She died a month later. It's like my dh had a gut feeling something would happen and I'm so glad we allowed her to see her only dggc as much as we could.

Nah - they'd just have taken a private jet back to Canada (and this time it genuinely isn't a pop at them, just an acknowledgement that things are done very differently among those with money)

I think there could be a situation where ALL travel/flights are stopped, not just scheduled.

Nobody means literally on his own. They mean no one who is family or friend.

A nanny is not a replacement for Mummy and Daddy. I certainly wouldn't want my child developing a closer maternal bond with my nanny unless I had no choice. Very Victorian and bad in terms of attachment as the Nanny eventually gets her P45 and has to move on.

caperberries my gran loved seeing her 11 ggc & 8 gc & missed the 2 who lived 6 hours away as it meant she saw them less. Just because there were a number of them didn’t mean she missed the other 2 less!

PIL finally gone - 4.5 hours and they arrived half an hour early!!

M looks much prettier with the more natural church make up. I appreciate my opinion is absolutely inconsequential though.
