Lol at 5leaf flouncing, then coming back to correct an error in the post

👏👏

That is exactly the type of thing I'd do 😂

SaidTheActressToTheBishop · 08/03/2020 18:42

Straightening her hair
Flicking her coat
Cradling her bump

But @TheNavigator have those heinous accusations been made on the last three threads though?

SaidTheActressToTheBishop · 08/03/2020 18:46

@Encyclo

Yes you are correct that I was incorrect when I said there was only one reference to Merchie

I wasn’t posting on those threads several months ago and haven’t read them

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 08/03/2020 18:47

I don’t care whether they brought Archie or not. I don’t care about her hair, cradling bump whatever. I do care that tax payer money is being used to support them or pay for their security when they are no longer working royals & living in another country. Retire in the UK where it will cost less. I’ve no issue about that. And I will complain loudly about that cost.

OVienna · 08/03/2020 18:50

I'm going there. It's such BS they weren't valued here by the British people. It is very clear they were -and are- loved and welcomed. I am sad to see them go bit still cross about how the exit was 'managed' to look like they had no option in order to 'thrive.'

Winterlife · 08/03/2020 18:53

@Tsukukuviri So criticism is off limits and fawning is off limits. Please tell me what I should be posting to meet with your approval.

yolofish · 08/03/2020 18:53

I don't hate M or H, I don't know them, so how could I hate them, that would be silly.

But I reserve my right to criticise their actions in whichever way I choose, as long of course if it is within talk guidelines - which I have apparently previously breached.

The bottom line, for me, is: they could live in the UK quietly, have the peace and quiet they allegedly want AND the security they apparently need. But they don't want that, and as a UK taxpayer I don't want to pay extra for them being on 2 or 3 continents and that bill trebling at the very least.

Nor do I want to see Met police officers being sent out to do their security at considerable financial expense, eco expense, and expense to their own individual family lives.

I don't think any of that is unreasonable or contentious...

Winterlife · 08/03/2020 18:56

@TheNavigator I don’t recall anyone saying MM had to be Michelle Obama.

Tsukukuviri · 08/03/2020 18:58

More seriously: I am really concerned about the double standards these threads show. There was a rumour posted by someone in the last thread that “Megxit” happened because Meghan has a lot of debts and unpaid debts.

It was not challenged.

Why does @MNHQ allow this nasty speculation?

But if anyone asked a single speculative question about the McCanns, the thread is immediately zapped?

Posts bitching about celebrity women and their weight and looks are zapped.

But it Is okay to speculate over whether MM had had work on her “padded bum“, about her “close set” eyes, her super white teeth, her excessive make up?

Why the double standard?

There is legitimate reason to discuss the tax and money issues, and what their departure means.

But these threads go way beyond that. Why do posters make these unpleasant comments about her California accent, personal appearance etc? How is that related to the legitimate concerns about money?

And why does @MNHQ allow these posts to stand?

Encyclo · 08/03/2020 18:59

It's not so much that there's actual hate on this thread.

It just seems like everything they do is wrong on the eyes of the posters on here.

It just feels unfair.

Tsukukuviri · 08/03/2020 19:02

@Winterlife the above answers you I hope.

SamanthaBrique · 08/03/2020 19:03

There was a rumour posted by someone in the last thread that “Megxit” happened because Meghan has a lot of debts and unpaid debts.

What?? Where do people get this rubbish from?

derxa · 08/03/2020 19:04

All of this. It's like the MPs and their moats and duck houses paid for by the tax payer. I don't give a shit about bump cradling etc.

SaidTheActressToTheBishop · 08/03/2020 19:04

I can’t answer your Qs @Tsukukuviri as I’m not MNHQ

I doubt many on this thread are

I can’t see how Meghan and the McCanns could be compared though and I’m surprised you did that

Someone on the other thread mentioned the McCanns in the last half hour though

Was that you too? I don’t have your good memory of who said what

But what makes you think she did show up with that @Winterlife?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 08/03/2020 19:09

Surely the point of these threads is for people to discuss what lies ahead for H&M and what they perceive to be the reasons for them being where they are?

That will involve discussion about things that have made them unpopular with many people.

If posters don't agree with them, fine, it's an open forum, but I don't see the point in challenging people's perfectly validly held opinions.

If you find the criticism of the M-Ws too much, why read the thread at all?

SamanthaBrique · 08/03/2020 19:11

I agree there is some perfectly valid criticism but speculation about unpaid debts (with no evidence) is a bit ridiculous.

Sunshineand · 08/03/2020 19:11

I think it’s ridiculous for MM to show up with padded buttocks. Her ultimate audience for that is not the British public.

Who told you she had padded buttocks?! This is mental Confused

SaidTheActressToTheBishop · 08/03/2020 19:13

Where’s the speculation?

A poster said there was a rumour

Someone else corrected them on a point they made about it

That was that

Why is there all this discussion about other threads?

EmeraldShamrock · 08/03/2020 19:13

They both looked really well at the ball, the change has definitely de-stressed them. I had a nosey at the updates on their Sussex royal website. I was shocked at first now I wish them well.

YgritteSnow · 08/03/2020 19:14

And why does @MNHQ* allow these posts to stand?*

Because they're not our actual Mum whose job it is to bring us up to be nice. Because we are adults who can talk about what we like whether or not a few other sanctimonious individuals decree otherwise.

Keep going though. You'll get the thread deleted with your hyperbolic declaiming of shock and disgust at perfectly fair discussion and and criticism, which no doubt is your intention Hmm

DjenneJen · 08/03/2020 19:15

I’ve been lurking on these threads for a long while but haven’t posted.
I agree with Yolo that I don’t dislike Meghan because I don’t know her.

I don’t care about her looks, fashion, childcare choices one bit. I do dislike how as a couple H&M have gone about exiting the RF and the UK. It seems hypocritical, crass and offensive and really whingy.

The turning point for me was Meghan stood in the grounds of the centre for those who had been injured by landmines in SA and complaining how difficult things had been for her over the past year. Surrounded by people living in poverty, with life changing injuries and blathering on about how hard she had it was just awful to listen to.

Every IG picture is of them and the people who they are visiting are featured (if at all) as an afterthought. The relentless sermonising and do as I say-ing really piss me off. The pushing in front of Harry comes across not as equality but as if she expects to be the star attraction at every event. It’s not great.

I’m no way an admirer of royalty in any shape or form but even I have felt sympathy for both HMQ and William in particular.

I’m mixed race and think much of the bad feeling towards Meghan is due to the way she has ‘hit the ground running’ , stormed in in a flurry of writing on bananas, dispensing positivity and wokeness and then basically buggering off again because it wasn’t as fun as she thought and the press haven’t fallen at her feet in adoration. The way the exit strategy has been handled has been hasty, ill thought out and guaranteed to get people’s backs up.

Encyclo · 08/03/2020 19:16

Wha?
