TBF, "mild symptoms" are not all they are cracked up to be. These days you only get hospital treatment if you are practically at death's door. Pneumonia in your 70s is no laughing matter, DM had it at least 3 or 4 times before she eventually died from it aged 88 (other complicating factors involved). They call it the 'old man's friend', I rather think that is not actually true given the coverage of people in respiratory distress in Italy. It really upsets me to think of anyone dying alone, in ITU or at home. Which my DM did, alone in hospital.

how is everyone? I wish this thread was active as it would mean the world was normal.

Sorry, haven't anything useful to say re the thread title except I'm not sure whether to be happy for them that they're in LA now, as I think it's what they always had planned, or sad for them as they might have had to reveal their hand too soon.
I guess, in the spirit of the thread, we can all be happy that, afawk, they're all well.

Anyway, just adding a post to give a feeling of "activity" and to say I'm sorry you're fed up

I have about 20 posts on H&M. It's been a long week. Predictably, there is all this fuss now that they are wrapping things up with only days to go till the exit. The media will flees the clicks and £s for all they are worth now.

Why is it that H&M seem about 10 paces ahead of their detractors all the time. Everyone just seems slow, dumb, petty.

Where to begin. Ok, let's start with the WHO post that has been seen as them lecturing to us about things they know nothing about. I think the main issue was with them summarising by the symptoms by not stating cough, temp etc. Except the virus is still not that well known. At first we laughed at bog roll collection, but I just heard a specialist on the telly saying there are more symptoms than first thought, like diarrhoea etc. So, I don't think it's a bad thing for them not to outline all the symptoms as we know them now.

It so turns out they are not wrong, because the WHO itself reposted their IG post and the Head of WHO thanked them.

So that snake, Dan Wootton sat on the news that H&M were gonna move to LA, so that he can sensationalise it. After all, it's not really news if someone with a young baby (and a possibility of more?) moves close to their mum and home town. That is, if it's true at all, or if H&M had not long moved. After all, is't MM supposedly responsible for making sure that the borders in Canada stay open right till H comes home, or maybe they are going back to the Cotsworld estate where their house was papped, so that they could not move in, oh but wait, she managed to open the border now so that she and H can go to LA. So either Dan knew about this, but my guess is that he was guessing all along without a clue like the rest of the media.

But as usual Dan had to time it, like it's a last minute move and add spice to it. No prizes for guessing that his 'source' is his boyfriend Jason Knauf with whom he graduated in the NZ uni, former head of communicants for KP, now CEO of Royal Foundation.

First of all, rumours had already been circulating regarding the LA move for a long time now. My guess is that H&M will have told their staff and security all about the move (same as they already told staff here back when about their closing down UK office). After all, they would have to give notice at their present house, and probably had a move date now as arranged (two of my renting friends were given notice for house sale etc. so are busy packing as we speak. They were given notice before things hit the fan). Their moving house is probably too much a big endeavour to be done last minute.

It is also no coincidence that Dan decided to write this story right after saying MM is not allowing H to go home. But most importantly, it was a way to try and take away focus from the fact that the Disney documentary is being announced as well as the fact that the Bon Jovi single is coming out today.

I am sorry you're worried. Two of my DC have C 19 and all of them live in London, eleven hours away from DH and myself.

It is a worrying time for us all.

I’m A lurker on this thread & post on the other one. I also don’t think I have much to add to this one until today - basically to all those who are or know people struggling with the awful CV.

They don't have to meet these people face to face, just this week Oprah posted a Skype she was having with Idris Elba. Chances are people are communicating to each other even with the virus.

I do wonder though, at which point or date in Vancouver did MM force her workers to wear gloves etc. and forbid H from going to see PC. It sounds as if, they have been in LA for a while now. Btw, I have never heard MM actually say that she would NEVER live in US as long as Trump rule (though she may have been preparing for him to get lost by the next elections)

I also see no point in ppl debating H status for living in the US. I have lived in different countries and as far as I know almost every country has a special visa for millionaires on account that they will not be using state funds in any way. They will also contribute to the economy. The E-2 or 'Golden Visa'.

Knightsbridge, Mayfair etc. is chockablock full of luxury homes from foreigners who only come for one month a year or something, but when they do come they shop at expensive places like crazy.

There is also specific visas for business people and philanthropists who will give to the community.

H is also married to an American born citizen. Both of them would qualify more than most financially too. Though I have not done the calculations, I suspect that by the time they complete the process of form 1-130 or whatever, they will have been married for 2yrs and qualify really.

So sorry to hear about your DCs, how utterly worrying. Two of my DCs live in London, and one had symptoms and I was beside myself. I have no idea, nor does she, if she had it, and she is fine now. They are both working from home and seem to be coping, but I really miss them... we were due up there for 4 days on Mothering Sunday but all cancelled.

I guess the rags were annoyed to find that the 'Disney movie' was a high quality documentary instead of an animation about Disney princesses. Were there no self indulgent posts slamming her and having a laugh about her doing a voice over for some animated princess. People lack imagination. Just as they think Harry will be lost in LA, I mean seriously, where have they been all these years with Harry doing all these travels, meeting and interacting with high level individuals. Let's just say, they won't be doing a reality show anytime soon ala Housewives/ househusbands of ................

Is it the fact that the Elephant Disney documentary is being released in April that people seem to confuse it as a paid gig for MM. It has been said about a thousand times that she is doing the voice over for Elephants without borders charity.

MM had been tracking the documentary since 2016.
I think Bob Igor, did not want to go into too much detail about H&M, as he knows words get twisted - not many people want to say much as they have seen how the media works, really.

Yes I read about that a while ago too. If the money is all going to charity then I don't see what the big deal is. And Meghan has a lovely speaking voice - she could probably make some money reading sleep stories for the Calm app!

I am not too sure about the security issue in regards to LA. There is a lot of rich and famous people in the area and they seem fine. I assume they will choose a safe part of LA. To me I guess it's like saying a person is moving to London from say a Gloucestershire farm ( which is safer). While London is comparatively unsafe with lots of crime, there would be a difference between living in Peckham/ Croydon etc. to living in Chelsea/ Knightsbridge.

My suspicion is that they would like to get rid of the current security at some point, or slowly extract themselves. However, this will not be easy to do immediately, because they are very much linked to the RF right now. I don't know if they could ever be able to shed that link. As things stand, if someone wants to hit the UK or RF, they could do it through H or A. Perhaps the plan is that the more they are distanced, the less of an impact they have. So maybe over time they become as relevant or irrelevant as H's cousins. Unlike when they were senior royals and right at the heart of the RF.

PS : as things stand now, they seem to be more in danger in the UK than anywhere else because they put in jail the sons of the heads of the KKK version in the UK, I think they call themselves National Pride or some name. I believe that was one of the reasons they are so protective of baby A and that private jet media fiasco.
