I go away for the weekend and thread 17 disappears Shock

March isn’t too far away now. Will we see their return for the commonwealth service?

Have they found a new home yet?

Will they make an appearance at Beatrice’s wedding?

SS represented Weinstein, Oprah pimped someone out... am I beginning to see a connection with someone called PA??

The whole thing is completely fucking mad.

drina27 · 21/02/2020 17:56

Using Royal when you are stripped of rank and shunned from the RF is embarrassing and quite pathetic.

Agreed.

drina27 · 21/02/2020 17:58

Oprah was friends with Weinstein and pimped a young actress to him. It’s the only reason she hasn’t entered politics - she knows too much dirty laundry will be aired.

Gosh, they know how to choose their “friends”.
Ugh

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 21/02/2020 18:01

It’s looking quite messy isn’t it?

katiegoestoaldi · 21/02/2020 18:07

On this page here tattle.life/threads/secret-celeb-gossip-3.4843/page-10

yoikes · 21/02/2020 18:10

Nope.
Close?
Rubbish.
No RF members are close. They make a good show for the cameras since PD died but they are all emotionally (and in some cases intellectually) stunted.
How can they not be??
Raised from birth with huge financial security, everyine praising them, no one disagreeing...a des of themarerenownedfor being very tight with their money too!
Look at the relationship between HMQ and PM?
HMQ and charles?
Charles and his sons...he and W are barely on speaking terms. The programme for chaes 70th was very uncomfortable watching! W point blank refused to praise charles.
I find the mountbatten windsor family fascinating from a psychological point of view but as a taxpayer I'd quite like to stop paying for it.

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 21/02/2020 18:12

How do you know C&W aren’t on speaking terms? I’ve not heard that.

rockingchaircandle · 21/02/2020 18:20

Wow, back to vile gossip again here.

So many posters so quick to protest they weren't racist when I praised Beyonce!

If there's no racism or misogyny, how do you explain your targeting of Meghan for 18 threads? And her mother, and Oprah? So random!

yoikes · 21/02/2020 18:24

It's well known....(watch the programme...)
Charles complains he doesn't see enough of the gc which I imagine W thinks is pretty low. Especially gping public with it.
W was the one who PD leant on - that awful story of W pushing tissues under the bathroom door when she and C argued.
W and H are children from a marriage which should never have happened, witnessed its breakdown, a hugely acrimonious divorce and their parents spilling their guts on global TV about the affairs etc.
The very idea they are close to Charles is laughable.
As I said, psychologically fascinating.

annielouise · 21/02/2020 18:24

C&W had a job together recently and a photo showing they seemed friendly.

annielouise · 21/02/2020 18:25

I don't know if they are close but you said barely on speaking terms.

yoikes · 21/02/2020 18:26

...and although I don't really like W I can totally see why he is so protective of his wife and family wrt photos, public events

DivinationDandy · 21/02/2020 18:27

Wasn’t C&W’s recent official visit with their partners the first engagement they’d done as a foursome for over ten years or something? I saw that and it stood out as hinting perhaps they weren’t that close.

yoikes · 21/02/2020 18:29

Lots about it you search...

The whole monarch/heir relationship fascinates me.

Has there EVER been a decent one??

The hanoverians were spectacularly dreadful to each other

annielouise · 21/02/2020 18:29

They might not be that close, true. Who knows. I think the recent visit together is damage limitation because of PA and H&M. Cement the lineage in people's minds and the stability. Same with that photo of the four generations. Emphasise the continuity.

CallmeAngelina · 21/02/2020 18:30

Yoikes, Are you basing your supposed knowledge of some of these relationships on having watched "The Crown?"

katiegoestoaldi · 21/02/2020 18:31

I've just been pondering the same thing yoikes

DivinationDandy · 21/02/2020 18:32

Oh yes definitely damage limitation annie

yoikes · 21/02/2020 18:33

Apart from the old standards like remembrance day, trooping the colour, ascot etc there are never seen together.
And what must they really think of camilla??

I've just watched the trial of christine keeler...when phil goes there are going to be some VERY nasty tales come out...

Obv where PA gets it from.

annielouise · 21/02/2020 18:34

yoikes - I've said in a few places the whole notion of a monarchy is fundamentally mentally unhealthy for individuals, more so with the recent generations. Elizabeth was protected. She never went to school, only mixed with the upper classes, not exposed to reality, media largely respectful I should imagine in her early years of reign. C took a bashing at school, being the butt of jokes increasingly with each generation (Spitting Image, his ecological work, his ears). Now it's gloves off, some of them are being openly mocked (Ricky Gervais, Rebel Wilson), stunts like the US school bus. I think it's untenable long term in its present form.

yoikes · 21/02/2020 18:35

Damage limitation - absolutely!
I imagine P Anne, Ed and S will be wheeled out a lot more.
Anneis 71 this year though? Wonder what she feels about that.

CallmeAngelina · 21/02/2020 18:35

I saw that and it stood out as hinting perhaps they weren’t that close.

Not necessarily. Royals have rarely done combined engagements over the years (better to spread out the troops, as it were), but I would assume it is to show that the family is carrying on in full strength. It is probably deliberate, yes, because now more than ever, they need to show a combined and united front.

yolofish · 21/02/2020 18:35

But William and Harry were always very close, and then H and Catherine appeared to get along famously. So what's happened to all that?

I imagine that C was a fairly conscienscous (sp?), but 'old style' father, and one who was very constrained by his position and his future.

Perhaps the sort of father that a son could build a relationship with later on, rather than one who was 'fun dad'.

CallmeAngelina · 21/02/2020 18:36

Anneis 71 this year though? Wonder what she feels about that.

From what I've seen of her, she will roll up her sleeves and get on with it.

yoikes · 21/02/2020 18:36

I'm a student of hiatory.
I don't class "the crown" as reliable source material!
