I go away for the weekend and thread 17 disappears Shock

March isn’t too far away now. Will we see their return for the commonwealth service?

Have they found a new home yet?

Will they make an appearance at Beatrice’s wedding?

Jeez. So you're on thread eighteen now.

I don't think we'll ever see MM in the UK again.

7Worfs · 20/02/2020 11:31

Buttery don’t give the milk for free, ask for, ahem, royalties Grin

DivinationDandy · 20/02/2020 11:32

Now SussexRoyalties would be straight to the point.

CatherineOfAragonsPomegranate · 20/02/2020 11:33

I think she'll turn up for the commonwealth thingy at least. But whether Archie comes is another thing.

Butterymuffin · 20/02/2020 11:33

@7WorfsGrin Grin Grin Silly me. I'll never get to be a Goldman Sachs special guest this way.

7Worfs · 20/02/2020 11:36

SussexRoyalties

Winner Grin

annielouise · 20/02/2020 11:36

Buttery, I know - given M has openly stated she's a feminist she won't like Princess Harry Grin one bit but isn't that the correct title, like Princess Michael of Kent? Princess Harry of Sussex.

'I've got to keep my independence', lol.

annielouise · 20/02/2020 11:37

If they're not allowed to have any royal spin then I don't see what they can use. But he is still Prince Harry and she is Princess Harry and I'd have thought the Prince/Princess bit will be better than Duke and Duchess in the US.

annielouise · 20/02/2020 11:38

Yep, SussexRoyalties is the winner. Straight and to the point.

CatherineOfAragonsPomegranate · 20/02/2020 11:38

SusSex Royale

Leaving other connotations aside, this is far too close to BurgerKing's Chicken Royale, which is declared to be 'Royalicious' Indeed it was the first thing I thought of.

But Sussex Royalicious might be a more palatable option.

Butterymuffin · 20/02/2020 11:39

annie yes, that - or Princess Henry, strictly speaking - would be correct. But no, I don't see her going for it at all.

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 20/02/2020 11:41

It’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out anyway. I just don’t understand how they’ve managed to go wrong so quickly. It’s such a shame. I hope they will be happy with the path they’ve chosen.

HMQ must be thanking her lucky stars for Sophie (after her mistakes) & Kate!

CatherineOfAragonsPomegranate · 20/02/2020 11:42

But no one within the US would refer to her as Princess Henry. Just Princess Meghan. Which is a Winner surely?

Princess Meghan. An American Princess. Didn't Beyonce already call her 'my princess' or something?

DivinationDandy · 20/02/2020 11:42

Tbh if they did go for SussexRoyalties (they won’t be allowed, obvs) I’d think fair play, crack on!

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 20/02/2020 11:43

I think the press - certainly the US press would refer to her as Princess Meghan as the press here & elsewhere referred to Diana incorrectly as Princess Diana.

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 20/02/2020 11:43

Crossed post

annielouise · 20/02/2020 11:44

I think Buttery's suggestions work - Harry and Meghan Sussex Foundation or Sussex Family Foundation.

DivinationDandy · 20/02/2020 11:46

HMS for short.

annielouise · 20/02/2020 11:47

Yes, it'll be Princess Meghan in the end or Princess Meg depending on how much space in the news article heading. I don't like it as it perpetuates the crap about all little girls wanting to be a princess, like Thomas Markle mentioned.

CatherineOfAragonsPomegranate · 20/02/2020 11:47

I've never seen Sophie looking so in her element. I think she's hapoy to finalky get some recognition. And the time for her to shine is now. That goes for all of them. The press seem to be running more stories on the members previously overlooked, plus I'm part of another Royalalist online forum and people keep voting for more coverage of Anne, Sophie and Eugenie lately.

Eugenie's instagram is almost nothing but hundreds of positive comments. She is well thought of.

annielouise · 20/02/2020 11:48

Beyonce calling her 'my princess' was just nauseating. But I hate all the princessy crap anyway.

rockingchaircandle · 20/02/2020 11:50

bad comments on Harry and Meghan's Instagram say much more about the people making them than Harry and Meghan's actions or choices.

There are positive comments too, so I suppose it depends on what you choose to focus on!

In terms of the abusive comments and negativity, it's harmful that people on social media act like this.

So many people have decided they don't like Meghan without any self reflection. While they won't be able to find any good in her actions now, it's a real shame they can't find something else to focus on!

meercat23 · 20/02/2020 11:50

Understandably the focus is on what they could use instead of Royal but is the use of Sussex open to any challenge from the county? I remember there was some kind of petition from people in the county who didn't want that. They are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex but does that give them right to use it for whatever purposes they want to?

bluebell34567 · 20/02/2020 11:52

i was surprised that they didnt take prince title for Archie.

annielouise · 20/02/2020 11:53

I thought there was a petition meercat. I'll see if I can find anything.

They're also something of Dumbarton - Earl and something. I don't think they ever went there.
