To wish Meghan Markle had realised

I know they are only people and we don't know them. I just can't but feel abit miffed she's stolen away the lovely Prince Harry. I watched the itv program this morning and her saying about the stiff upper lip British thing really annoyed me. I get some of it is bound to be hard. But she was happy to marry Harry. Typical that the women who finally gets the ring decides the British life/monachy isn't for her. Well that's ok Meghan. Don't worry. It's not for you. So therefore let's mess up traditional British ways and destroy the future outlook of the royal family because you can't be arsed with it. I know I shouldn't be annoyed. But such a shame he didn't meet someone to be by his side and support him. She just can't follow him and be his support like Kate is for Will. She has to be equal or above.

I know there have been some dark times. But he's so Lucky in many ways. To be that comfortable. Luxurious houses, the best food, clothes etc. Being who he is is extremely unique and special. I just think if he can't take his role seriously he should loose his title. Meghan has massively disrespected the Brits. She's ran away and probably told Harry she's done with the UK. How can she be so comfortable stealing him from his family and the life he's always had. I think Diana would be sad to see Harry like this. He seems so sad too. Extremely low. She hasn't been able to adapt to life here. What if Harry can't adapt over there? She's never going to come back here after this of he misses home. I think he doesn't realise how much he's going to miss his family. Especially William. Now they both have little ones! You just presumed the kids would grow up together.

All my memories of the royal family are positive because of Harry and William. They put the fun into and modernize what would be otherwise an old fashioned stuffy affair on my opinion. They are the next generation. Without Harry it just feels alot smaller. Incredibly sad they couldn't enjoy a life in the UK. Ofcourse Meghan needs to see her folks still. I am not sure what there plans are now really. I don't like Meghan now personally. she's done what alot of people said she would do. She was never right for the role! I bet the queen has said she will support them because there's nothing else she can do. She remains proffesional at all times. I doubt she will get to see Harry or Archie many more times now. I find it all sad. Meghan doesn't exactly have a close family. Her mum could of visited the UK more if they missed eachother. I think it's a disgrace how she didn't take her role more seriously!

Erm, he has his wife and son Duchessof Woke Confused
Lots of kids don't grow up around extended family and are absolutely fine. It's a big old world out there.

Now playing the race card when it was clear that she was welcomed and accepted

Funniest thing ever! Did you ever read a paper or one if the eleventy million threads on here ripping her to pieces on a regular basis?
She couldn't do a damm thing right from day one.

SoupDragon · 14/01/2020 07:26

Now playing the race card when it was clear that she was welcomed and accepted

Read the headlines in that buzzfeed article and tell me she was "welcomed and accepted".

trappedsincesundaymorn · 14/01/2020 08:02

Meghan has her mother.Harry has no-one now

So it doesn't matter if SHE has no family near just as long as HE does?...er ok then.

TheYearOfTheDog · 14/01/2020 08:05

I think she is unaware of the abuse kate got to begin with. If they have no dirt, they say your mother chewed nicotine gum. Meghan was hated by some sections of the PUBLIC but those people will hate her more now.

blinkingowl · 14/01/2020 09:06

She couldn't do a damm thing right from day one.
I suppose people saw through her quite quickly then?

PortiaCastis · 14/01/2020 09:29

How can anyone see through someone who hasn't said anything and who they've never met
People are acting like they've actually spoken to the woman it's really quite odd

willothewispa · 14/01/2020 09:33

She was never gonna be accepted by daily mail mob who think how a dare a black woman come here and marry our prince was she ?

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 14/01/2020 09:59

People saw through her quite quickly then
What is she actually supposed to have DONE*? Or even said, for that matter?!
These threads are utterly bizarre, people seem to think they know them just from what they've read!

CoolcoolcoolcoolcoolNoDoubt · 14/01/2020 10:01

What I wish, is that Prince Harry would open his gob and tell people that this is what he wants. Whilst he is saying nothing, he's letting Meghan take all the heat - how is that fair?

StarbucksSmarterSister · 14/01/2020 10:08

What I wish, is that Prince Harry would open his gob and tell people that this is what he wants.

The anti Meghan mob would just say she'd made him do it because they think he is incapable of independent thought.

SoupDragon · 14/01/2020 10:09

People saw through her quite quickly then

What is she actually supposed to have DONE

Quite.

SoupDragon · 14/01/2020 10:10

What I wish, is that Prince Harry would open his gob and tell people that this is what he wants.

It was a joint statement.

Maybe he bullied her into going along with it. It's just as likely.

ssd · 14/01/2020 10:14

"Her mum could of visited the UK more"

I feckin knew you'd say "could of"

OrangeHeadMummy · 14/01/2020 10:17

Hi Op, I agree with you. And I’m sad too. I still like Meghan though so I dont agree with you there, as I’m still glad they married. And I think Diana would have liked her as a daughter in law.

I’m glad Kate is still committed to her role and I hope she is able to stay so happily.

Hoik · 14/01/2020 10:19

I feckin knew you'd say "could of"

You can always predict the calibre of craic you're going to get based on whether someone uses 'of' or 'have'.

Hoik · 14/01/2020 10:30

Harry has been talking about wanting 'out' since 2008 and gave interviews around the time saying how he enjoyed his time in the army as he was just Harry rather than Prince Harry, he has said countless times he is resentful of the press, that he has been uncertain about his role, that he has struggled with his mental health, and more. This has been on the cards for years, long before Meghan was on the scene. No doubt having a wife and child of his own has sharpened his resolve to do what he wants to do and what is best for his own family, much like Joe Bloggs suddenly decides he wants to chase promotion once he becomes a dad or Jane and John Smith decide to start saving for a house deposit after they get engaged - nothing like the weight if responsibility to help you focus on doing what you need to do.

The public wanted William and Kate 2.0, something which they were never going to get.

FramingDevice · 14/01/2020 10:43

This is true , @Hoik.

Though I also wonder whether there’s a correlation between extreme, frothing over-involvement in the activities of total strangers and poor spelling and grammar.

Perhaps I should start a poll and ask questions like ‘Who designed Megan Markle’s wedding dress?’, and ‘When did William start to lose his toothy good looks and go bald?’ in combination with ‘Please spell the item of furniture that usually stores foldable clothing and is found in a bedroom.’

trappedsincesundaymorn · 14/01/2020 10:44

I'm imagining the MN post now

"I gave up my career to marry my husband and move to his home country where I have been met with nothing but abuse and racism from strangers. I have no family of my own here and want to leave. My husband agrees but my ILs are suggesting a summit to try to persuade him to stay. Should we stay and accept it because of his family's position, should I just leave him, or should we both go do what's best for us and our mental health"

MN response.."your husband should put your happiness first, unless your name is Meghan, in which case suck it up buttercup because he belongs to us"

Willow2017 · 14/01/2020 10:55

I suppose people saw through her quite quickly then?
Saw through her and found what exactly?

Willow2017 · 14/01/2020 10:59

You'd think the two of them, with their 'change the world on climate' nonsense, would have run with the opportunity to pose with firefighters, and raise money for koalas and whatever else.

Well that's a contradiction right there!
Yeah cos flying to Oz for a few days wouldn't have given the haters a field day would it?

ballsdeep · 14/01/2020 11:00

You sound like my mother in law. No, she didn't take him or steak him away ffs and I do think you need something else to worry about

AnyMinuteNow · 14/01/2020 11:41

Perhaps I should start a poll and ask questions like ‘Who designed Megan Markle’s wedding dress?’, and ‘When did William start to lose his toothy good looks and go bald?’ in combination with ‘Please spell the item of furniture that usually stores foldable clothing and is found in a bedroom.’

What an ignorant classless and shitty thing to say. That theres some sort of correlation between the 'frothing' and spelling abilities ffs
