I could never see Charles in Harry and Yesterday when he was giving his speech. It was just Charles standing there. However I'd be lying if I said He didn't look like James Hewitt, as well. Which is mad as they can't both be his father..

Apart from the fact that it's nonsense, do people not think that the heirs to the throne would be DNA checked now that we have the technology? Do you think they would risk someone, who was at one point 3rd in line to the throne, not actually being of royal blood becoming King? It's not like they wouldn't have been perfectly happy to brand Diana an adulterer and get some sympathy for Charles and regardless,they wouldn't want to risk Harry being king and not being Charles son just in case it was a bit embarrassing.

Harry looks like his dad (a little bit but you can still see similar features) and even a bit like the queen. That gossip about JH hasn't been relevant for many years for obvious reasons.

I don't think they would bother with dna tests. Diana was never the sharpest knife in the drawer but there is such a thing as contraception. There is no way she would have risked getting pregnant by a lover and passing the baby off as 3rd in line to the throne. By all accounts, she had enough problems with bulimia and her marriage falling apart to engage in extra marital at the time of Harry's conception without risking her and her child being turfed out on the street in disgrace and risk losing William, who would have been a toddler himself!

I don't think it would necessarily be a case of suspicion, I bet they do it as a matter of course. I have no idea whether she or charles were playing away at that time. Not really anybodies business but theirs tbh.

Contraception is never 100% either, less options in those days and if she was regularly sick the pill would be next to useless.

Given Harrys previous party and Army life there have been millions of chances for folk to gather his DNA surreptitiously from glasses, hairbrushes etc. Must have been checked loads of times. Check out a young bearded Prince Philip to see the Windsor family resemblance! Dianas brother was also auburn in colouring.

Good point, his DNA would have been collected by the Army officially too. I understand it is collected for all military personnel in the sad case that it's ever needed in order to identify someone after death.

Also, do they even really look alike if you take away the hair colour? I don’t see much similarity features-wise. However, Harry is very like Charles Spencer (and the Spencer family in general) who, when younger, had almost the exact same shaw of hair. Of course, that doesn’t make for as ‘funny’ a comment.

Funnily, William looks fuck all like Charles but doesn't get any speculation. I know their times of conception were completely different and William does generally have a look of the RF but it must make it even more galling for Harry.

Speculating on the parentage of royal babies is a bit of a national obsession though, isn't it? There have been similar mutterings over Andrew and Edward. In 30 years time, mumsnetters will be speculating over Louis, the Tindall children or this new Sussex baby too.

I don't think William specifically looks like anyone in particular though whereas Harry does. Nowadays neither really has a look of Diana. Maybe they used a surrogate... 😁
