"Ooh twinges....could this be it?"

I wish. Think I must be a closet royalist as I am rathrr excited about this impending birth. Anyone want to keep watch with me?

If it's a girl they should just call her Queenie and be done with it. Queen Queenie the first.

Jojobump1986 · 13/07/2013 08:38

I reckon they're going to copy Katie & Peter & go with "Princess " on her birth certificate. She'll get called Princess for a significant proportion of her life anyway, might as well make it her actual name!

I do feel a bit sorry for the baby if he's a boy... Everyone's so excited by the prospect of a girl since the law's changed that I suspect they'd feel a bit deflated if it was a boy. The only way that law will be needed is if they have a girl first & go on to have boys later. If they have several boys, including this one, I suspect there might be a few who will forever be thinking "if only #1 were a girl".

I'm excited either way but I'll cry if they use either of my DS's names, especially DS2 who's only 5 weeks so people will look at the year they were born & assume we'd copied them! Hmm It's a relatively uncommon Biblical name though so I doubt they're likely to use it! Grin

Sad at William being described as pompous. I shall ignore it & continue in my fantasy that's he's just a genuinely lovely chap who'd make a fab brother-in-law! Wink

That's pretty cool. Maybe today's the day then?

I reckon she's given birth on the last week and they won't make the public announcement until Kate is back into her skinny jeans for the pics.

14th july is bastille day?
so perhaps they will chose a French name..

KateMiddletonsMum · 13/07/2013 09:37

I will keep you all updated. We are just nipping to Tesco for some doughnuts, feeling a tad peckish.
:)

Dillydollydaydream · 13/07/2013 10:36

Excellent. If your dds waters break there you might get free nappies too?

FCEK · 13/07/2013 11:35

My parents know Charles and Anne well and they are very nice. We haven't met the boys though but I like the Duchess' style.

We're lower middle class at best LOL

wish the baby would hurry up, just so I can see if my name guesses were right!

ZingWidge · 13/07/2013 12:42

I hope it's a boy actually!

anyone knows which day is baby due actually?

KateMiddletonsMum · 13/07/2013 19:15

I'm sure it won't be tooooo long. Doughnuts ran out, onto bounty now.....is that a swear word on here? :)

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 13/07/2013 19:27

According to this week's Horse & Hound Magazine, Zara's pregnancy was announced this week because the British Eventing team for next month's European Championships was due to be announced the same day and everyone would have been asking why Zara had been left out.

Anyone else think the Palace have deliberately released a wrong due date to throw the press off the trail? I wonder if she was actually due a week or two ago, but has now gone overdue

ZingWidge · 13/07/2013 21:17

but frankelly what was the EDD that is published?
I don't watch the news.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 13/07/2013 23:53

15th July

FCEK · 15/07/2013 19:31

Wish the royal baby would hurry up. Dying of curiosity re: the name!

MortifiedAdams · 15/07/2013 19:38

I am certain it is a girl , based on wholly unfounded gut instinct.

Think the baby will be heavy for a first baby. The distance between kate's hip and knee would be more than average.

tribunalhelpneeded · 15/07/2013 19:45

Ok bored now. Can someone throw some clary sage in her direction please :)

TheOneWithTheHair · 15/07/2013 19:47

You can tell the approximate weight of a baby by thigh length? That explains a lot! Shock

Ponders · 15/07/2013 19:47

published EDD was 13th

DM speculated weeks ago that they'd given out a date 2 weeks after her actual due date.

Ha!

Ponders · 15/07/2013 19:49

The distance between my hip & knee is massively more than average & my overdue DC1 weighed under 6lbs so I don't think we can go by that Grin

Zynda · 15/07/2013 19:49

Wasn't she said to be about 9 weeks pregnant when the news came out. and that was about 3 weeks before Christmas day I think! so, hang on....... {I can do this}

dramajustfollowsme · 15/07/2013 19:52

My dd was born on their wedding day. Charles and Diana got married on my birthday and my mum was born on the queen's anniversary.
My anniversary is in 2 days time. Will their baby be born then???

Zynda · 15/07/2013 19:57

I have done the maths, insofar as is possible because I only think she was 9 weeks when it leaked out first week of December, but if so, that'd make the EDD of 13/7 correct. So it could be another ten days til the baby arrives. Yall will burst!

Glup · 15/07/2013 20:07

.......my mum (never the most reliable, I fear) has reported unusual activity at the royal Berkshire hospital this evening. This could be it!

(Hmmm, though surely if she gave birth at the RB it would really annoy the media).
