"Ooh twinges....could this be it?"

I wish. Think I must be a closet royalist as I am rathrr excited about this impending birth. Anyone want to keep watch with me?

I believe that Mr Cameron has requested she start pushing asap in order to send the country into a Lions/Murray/Froome/Baby overload of excitement.

Add the wall to wall sunshine (apologies to those of you in NW Scotland) and you have the recipe for an economic recovery. 12% growth by the end of the year.

FairyJen · 08/07/2013 13:16

I don't envy her in this heat!

So what's the verdict? Too posh to push and bf or ff?

lurcherlover · 08/07/2013 13:20

Surely royal babies drink gold top (sorry)

MortifiedAdams · 08/07/2013 13:22

I dont envy her in the family she is in. I fely enough pressure with DD and I only had friends and family to contend with.

Think she will try and push. I do hope though that if she chooses a cs or ends up with an emcs, the press dont run her into the ground because of it. Any woman delivering a baby, no matter how, is amazing

The press have reported she wants a natural birth apparently - although with two obstetricians in attendance I suspect it might all get a bit medicalised quite quickly. Plus, the knowledge that the entire world is waiting for news must make it hard to get into the right mental zone for labour...I don't envy her at all. When she leaves hospital she will have had her hair and make-up done and be smiling at the papps, but you just know she'll be knackered, sore and desperate to get home into her PJs.

Ahh that will be nice at the Royal get togethers, that Zara will have a baby of a similar age.

StealthPolarBear · 08/07/2013 14:30

It's all gone quiet. Her maj has a glass up to the door, pooey trowel in the other hand.

StealthPolarBear · 08/07/2013 15:46

Things may be starting up again

MortifiedAdams · 08/07/2013 16:42

«sticks head into thread whilst at work» no sign?

OP posts:
RoseFlowerFairy · 11/07/2013 17:16

No, no sign yet! I have a feeling about 12!

MortifiedAdams · 11/07/2013 19:21

Apparently there was a bit of a skirmish a couple of days back when a helicopter was dispatched from Kensington Palace (I think!)

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 11/07/2013 19:23

How about Jubilee as a name? (ducks for cover).

gaggiagirl · 11/07/2013 19:33

Howaaaaaay Kate!!!!!!!!!

noblegiraffe · 11/07/2013 19:33

Hang on, Kate has been spotted in Tescos?

Did she have a Clubcard? She could save up for cheap Legoland tickets, it's handy for Windsor Castle.

TheHandbagOfGlory · 11/07/2013 19:43

I thought if the baby is a girl she might be called Alexandra, but there is already a Princess Alexandra who was apparently friendly with another royals husband, so they might have vetoed that?

I mean no other 'has it started?' news. Plenty of, well, other news.

mummyplonk · 12/07/2013 00:04

Kate if you are reading do not try an Asda madras curry to hurry your little princess along, admittedly it did work but 8 years later am still mortified at the smell and mess in the delivery room. Not befitting of our future queen.

HoneyDragon · 12/07/2013 00:06

Tomorrow at 12:05pm just in case you were wondering.

PareyMortas · 12/07/2013 00:09

I've passed them on the beach at Anglesy a few times, they live very close to dfriends.

TwllBach · 12/07/2013 07:39

Dach chi'n siarad cymraeg? Grin

WhispersOfWickedness · 12/07/2013 07:48

I just cried laughing at your wise words, mummyplonk Grin

They should have told us the baby was due at the end of July to stop all this speculation. Poor Kate, I was pissed off enough with my mum ringing every day to see how I was, without the whole country doing it...

TheFallenNinja · 12/07/2013 08:11

Who's Kate's Bounty rep?

Wouldn't want to forget the child benefitSmile

WhatWillSantaBring · 12/07/2013 09:23

Just think, there are at least two non-royals who'll know the gender... the sonographer and the consultant who would surely have been there too. I should imagine she had an extra scan at 35 weeks too. Wonder if the staff got reminded of their obligations to remain silent. I should imagine the red tops offering a LOT of money for that info. (I know someone who was offered £35k for a photo of Harry at Sandhurst, so I reckon you're talking six figures).

I do feel for her, having the world watching and waiting so much, but then she knew this was pretty much her number one job. And when she's got this one and a spare safely into the world, I reckon she can build a much quieter life for herself, if she wants.

You never know, she might feel fine for the going home shots. I felt splendid - DC1 slept for 4 hours and 6 hours on the first night in hospital, so I got home, fed her, then put my glad rags on and went to a birthday party Grin. So if I can do it without any help (no stylist to do my hair for me Grin) I'm sure she can manage.
