DS1 was born in the RBH - so I think that Kate should count herself lucky if she ended up in such an illustrious place!

I'm not a royalist - certainly not in the derogatory way that you mean it, my concern for your DH's job was very real. I am seriously astonished that someone who works in a role like that is coming home and telling his wife all the gossip - who is then broadcasting it on the internet.

I am not a royalist, I was more worried about the impact it may have on your DH's job to be honest.

Apparently any baby born on the same day as the royal baby will receive a special coin in a pouch.

There is apparently a contingency plan which I imagine would include both her OBs being escorted there in a rush! They have a green light they can put on their cars but that would do zero good in rush hour out of London or into Reading.

I predict Tues 23rd to share with my DS. My brother and I share our birthday with Prince Andrew so our family is already connected!

Wills taking her in a chopper is the equivalent of dh taking me in his company car.

There has never been any official announcement of a date other than "mid-July". Anything else has been made up by the media.

I should think if they needed to get the doctors to her pdq they would use a helicopter. No need to struggle through traffic.

Even us commoners have an Air Ambulance to get us to the RBH or the JR if necessary.

I believe the 13/7 date because it fits with her being 7 or 8 weeks pregnant in the beginning of dec
