you can C&P the link and it will automatically turn into a clicky one, like this:

or you can put square brackets round the link like this link (without the spaces)

Thanks to all of you who posted here and reported the spam. We got to it all and have banned the spammer. A special huge thank you (and a finger bandage) to @NiteWotcha who dealt with the worst of it.

We're looking at our processes for this type of spam attack - and hope to get something in place soon.

Ok I think that there is another one. Alislia17 has appeared on at least two threads asking people to 'rate my hot young body'.

I've advanced searched and Alislia17 has spammed over 40 threads - with a link.

That one is on every thread in active atm.

Ah another night. @MNHQ you really need to give the night watch team some more magic powers. They're just going to keep doing it.

Yes, MNHQ, I would suggest you try to develop a policy/procedure that allows the nightwatch or someone else to block or ban a poster for this type of thing. Instead, they are able to spam many, many threads without restraint. It doesn't seem practical or fair to have your nightwatchers scrambling to hide all the posts.

I recognize there are issues related to this, even as basic as freedom of speech. Banning someone from posting is a big step perhaps. But you have posting guidelines and when they are clearly violated, as here, surely there must be a way to stop the negative impact immediately, or at least limit it.

Could you consider giving you after hours monitors the ability to block a poster, if even for 12 hours? This could stop the damage from spreading. A very succinct and directive policy could dictate when this happens, although of course such things always involve some discretion.

I am not a resident of the UK but surely your law could permit some limits? Just my two cents worth.
