A worming tablet just on its own, didn't even have to hide it in anything! He's such a greedy guts he just chomped it off my hand.😆

He's also eaten bees, apparently with no ill effects.

Oh yeah that’s the bonus. He needed antibiotics and I just gave them to him!

None of my cats over the years have eaten anything really weird.
One liked cheddar cheese and would sneak it off a salad.
Raw egg beaten in a saucer
Butter

My current cat likes cheddar cheese.

My cat was happily trying to lick that Deep Heat Muscle cream off my skin yesterday. She also tried to get into the tube!! I stopped her of course, can’t imagine that being very good for her !

Nabbed a French stick off the kitchen worktop. It was still in the paper. Found it in the middle of the lounge. Keema nan. Snaffled the lot

A bee, with no ill effects.

Mexican beef and black beans, resulting in diarrhoea all over the carpet.

A bowl of shreddies and milk.

Iamacatslave · 25/05/2026 22:41

Ready salted crisps.
Flies.
Sponge cake.

BlueyDragon · 25/05/2026 22:54

Our cat is a rescue, was found behind a Chinese takeaway. It’s still her favourite food and she will paw it off your plate and raid the food bin for it. She used to try anything until she ate a jalapeño from a pizza slice, she’s been more cautious since then.

i always thought she was a bit odd and then I read this thread!

Very pleased to hear bees can be consumed without ill effect as one of mine loves hunting them!

He is a very gentle cat but he literally snatched a Pringle out of my hand.

A friend of mine once had a tug of war with her cat involving an individual pork pie. The cat won. 😂

Missey85 · 26/05/2026 09:16

Mine likes plastic too also Doritos she hears the bag and comes out of hiding 😊

applebee33 · 27/05/2026 19:29

My cat will eat anything. Peanuts, corn on the cob , he will hold it like a human and eat every piece of corn off a kfc corn stick lol

Our microwave is known as The Cat Safe in our house. It's the only place we can leave food to cool safely.
Toasty Boy Cat has eaten half a squirrel in the past...and left the other half as a "gift".

Us too! Except I once put a big plastic bag of chicken stock in the micro to cool, and Cat Boy, powered by greed, managed to get the door open, pierce the bag, and 'stock bomb' himself... 🙄

(He had the grace to look bilious by the time he'd licked himself clean... the whole kitchen was sticky...).

CamilleBeauchamp · 27/05/2026 19:43

He also ate some of my DH's pizza topping and, after a moment's thoughtful lip-licking, puked it neatly back up where he'd eaten it from...

Glad to see him in his rightful place - on the counter... 👌

How charming and thoughtful about the puking back up!

Yes - as you know, the usual protocol is to run around retching hoarsely until you've found the palest, most awkward and impossible-to-clean piece of soft furnishing and spew it out there...

(Then walk away casually as if that didn't just happen).

I had some salted caramel ice cream yesterday evening, and I put the finished bowl on the arm of the sofa. Tabby2 jumped up, had a good lick of the last of the ice cream in the bottom of the bowl, stopped dead with an appalled 'WTF was that?' look on his face. Like this: Confused

He didn't go in for seconds.😂😂

Smoky pinched a whole corn on the cob and growled at me when I tried to take it off him.

I just watched my cat leap around the kitchen like he was possessed, pluck a daddy long legs from the air (I’d been out at the bins, it must have come in then) and wolf it down. He looked ever so pleased with himself.
