Mushy peas.

My cat today had part of my magnum bar. I figured since it was hot a small bit couldn’t harm her.

CrikeyMajikey · Yesterday 21:19

Pringles
chips
croissant
watermelon
spiderplant leaves

Yes my old cats liked Pringles too. I was WTF you like these?! Think it must be the salt.

JohnTheRevelator · Today 17:01

My cat once ate a green olive.

JohnTheRevelator · Today 17:05

Years ago, one of my late DM's cats ate an elastic band. The first thing we knew about it was when we saw it hanging halfway out of the cat's bottom.

Kitchen food waste caddy tapas is a particular favourite with one of ours.

Goat's cheese quiche
Onion bhajis
Frozen peas
Swiss roll (actually any sponge cake is fair game)
Stilton rind
Sticky toffee pudding & custard
Ardennes pate
Quavers
Christmas cake
Apricot yoghurt
Dragonflies

My cat, Wendy, loves a cobweb! Will go actively looking for them (and probably eats any spiders in situ as well!)

Brideofclover · Today 17:13

Olives! Any kind any color any stuffing - apparently they’re related to or the same as cat nip! 😅

Dr13Hadley · Today 17:18

Mine also loves broccoli. Particularly tender stem leaves Confused he also likes avocado, lettuce and spinach. Girl cat nicked some icing of my Belgian bun the other day! She’s obvs not as healthy as her brother!

Wynter25 · Today 17:20

Melon

Olives are totally unrelated to nepeta cataria (catnip). They don't contain the chemical compound that is in catnip, so maybe there is a different chemical in olives that your cat particularly likes.

Contrarymary30 · Today 17:35

Greek yoghurt , melon , flies !

Weetabix , pasta in tomato sauce ...

whojamaflip · Today 17:55

One of my old cats sadly no longer with us was addicted to peas! Spent ages one summer trying to work out what was eating the pea pods in the veg garden til I caught her munching away one day

Appleandcidergravy · Today 18:43

Cucumber- plastic wrap and all
Scotch pancakes (and plastic)
Bananas
Scrambled egg- however don't like boiled egg
Most other things they turn their noses up to apart from tuna, salmon, lamb and chicken....
I wonder if they like the sensation of plastic rather than the food though.... Most stuff now goes in the microwave or breadbin so they can't get it

vanillasugar2 · Today 18:45

Mine is currently eating a carrot. He seems happy enough Confused

That’s what I worked out when they licked the deli tub the olives came in. Weirdos.

Pansypots · Today 18:57

A plaster.

Took her to the vet because she had stomach ache and the vet went "I'm sure she didn't actually eat a plaster" just as she threw it up on the table.

purser25 · Today 19:12

He is a very gentle cat but he literally snatched a Pringle out of my hand.

sunnydisaster · Today 19:28

None of my cats over the years have eaten anything really weird.
One liked cheddar cheese and would sneak it off a salad.
Raw egg beaten in a saucer
Butter

No they contain something that mimics the chemical compound in cat nip 👍

A worming tablet just on its own, didn't even have to hide it in anything! He's such a greedy guts he just chomped it off my hand.😆

He's also eaten bees, apparently with no ill effects.

Grumpie · Today 20:40

Mine loved melon. I believe this is a similar taste to car antifreeze for cats. Which is of course not good

Oldraver · Today 20:43

Yep mine ate a piece of his silicon mat. £1,800 pound later......

DS's cat will eat hot chilli crisp thingies

DanaScullysLegoHair · Today 20:53

Vindaloo, bean juice remnants from the tin when in recycling box (I do rinse) and we once left a carrot cake on a plate covered in clingfilm on the side overnight, came down next morning and he'd licked a hole through the clingfilm and eaten all the frosting.

He doesn't mind crunching up a big fat spider either 👀

weirdoexincident · Today 21:02

One of my cats has a speech impediment.
The others catch mice.
They explained that this is how catting works. Told her to catch a mouse.
She went on the garage roof, and caught some moss.

She’s a proud mosser. Catches moss, drags it home, munches on it.
The others have tried to explain the difference, but she really likes moss.
