Well, the boys among them are making plans.

The lady cats are having a spa fortnight in Italy.

Bills for flights, accommodation, food, booze, medical insurance and legal fees (not to mention a fund for bribing officials at Ljubljana Prison) are allegedly being sent to an unmonitored email address.

Freddie is looking a bit creepy tonight. I'm not sure if it's safe to go upstairs.

@HumanToCatBeasties I think it was actually on here there was a conversation about very young cats not reacting to catnip. The best are always Mollies Mice. Walter will happily spend a long time making his mouse as soggy as possible.

@Allergictoironing I would 100% be taking option 4 for lovely Tobias. I'm firmly of the opinion that extensive medical treatment is often not in the best interests of our pets, especially as they can't understand why it's happening to them. He seems to have settled so well with you ❤️ it would be a shame to disturb that.

Another early start today - noted that the mogs had varied their positioning from the previous night - still four though 😁.

I have ordered Molly's mice. So much for clearing out most of the cat toys. At least I can replace them with newer un-manky ones.

Ours go mad for Molly"s Mice. The only decent ones we've found since Culpeper disappeared.

Bloomin' heck! It's getting like The Waltons in here!

Tobias has been quite friendly (for him) this morning. He rolled about on the upstairs hall floor where the heating pipes run, watching me getting ready through the bedroom door with an occasional slow blink. He then blocked my way down the stairs until he'd had a shoulder & bum scritch, and politely requested another at the bottom of the stairs.

Then yet another when I collected up last night's food bowls, and when I put breakfast down he didn't start eating until he'd had more attention to his neck, chin & shoulders.

Then again that may have been something to do with them running out of kibble overnight & his way of politely requesting food before he wastes away!

It must be something in the air this morning. Frank tentatively walked up the bed to sniff my face and get scritches and attention, before going under the duvet to turn around and poke his head out for more attention. Toad kept shouting for food though so I had to get up to feed the beasts. Hopefully Frank will want more cuddles later.

Herbie isn't a particularly affectionate cat, he lets me pick him up but nobody else. I tend to pick him up and hold him.on my shoulder like a baby! DS holds him rather like a roll of carpet, which he won't tolerate for long!

Well at least it's one of our cats demanding entry through the patio doors this time. 😁

Disappointment of reality v expectation
Looking at my rather sad lunch of hummus and carrot sticks, it occurred to me how often Breadcat must be disappointed!
Is it going to be a bit of fish? Roast chicken?

Somebody was sharpening her claws in my bedroom around 5am this morning.

Gizmo messes up all our duvet covers with his claws.
And his fur.
He sheds so much, it's unbelievable.
But we do love him.

I keep looking at my duvet covers and thinking I must buy some new ones because they are old and tatty. Then Matilda will walk across them and get her claws stuck in the threads and I remember why I don't bother. They both keep trying to scratch my new sofa and armchair as well. It is just as well they manage to be lovable while destroying all our soft furnishings.

Vixen is back in parrot mode. I've had to turn the TV up so that I can hear it over the purring that is in my ear.

Kitty allowed me to pick her up & cuddle her for almost a minute earlier before wanting to get down. That’s a record.

I think she might even have been close to purring.

I have moved some things round in my bedroom and now the sofa faces the window so it'll get some sun on the rare occasion that the sun comes out in Wales. Lexter and Ghostie have claimed it as their territory, complete with a middle barrier so they each have their own side.

Aha. Cats do love lying in the sun.

They do. Matilda's been enjoying sunbathing today.

I spent the morning helping to clear an elderly friend’s very full garage, supervised by her cats.

I’m on the way home, somewhat mucky, & expect Kitty to be absolutely fascinated.
