When we play with the feather wand, they’ve divided up responsibility for catching it. Stripey’s job is to hurtle around the room after it at lightning speed and leap on and off the furniture. Snowcat’s job is to wait till it hovers above her and then go up on her back legs like a meerkat.

I've upset him by washing his radiator bed. Apparently it smells wrong now and he had it just how he liked it and now it is RUINED.

Luckily DS is always happy to provide him with his favourite bed ever, which is DS' (slightly muddy) school bag. I do not think it looks particularly comfortable but Kettle lies on it every chance he gets.

Interesting - Girlcat has taken to sitting on my work laptop bag when I'm at my desk & she wants attention. Maybe the cats are suggesting that Kettle doesn't want DS to go to school/Girlcat doesn't want me to go to work?

Possibly the fact that both are IN an igloo, rather than on top? And that they haven't tried to both get in the same one?

The only "normal" aspect of that pic I can see is that it appears that the smaller cat is in the larger igloo and vice versa.

The blue & purple tunnel in the bottom right corner looks familiar, is it the same as this one?

@Allergictoironing The first guess was correct. Normally Izzy sleeps on top of an igloo. If Thrifty is in one, that's the one Izzy tries to climb onto, obviously.

@EmpressaurusKitty Good eye. They're quite keen on their crinkly tunnel.

I fostered a couple of kittens before Kitty, & whenever one was in the igloo the other would always get on top. Then they'd try to fight through the roof.

A mini drama in our house this evening when Kettle had seemingly been out much longer than normal. I started to get worried as it got dark because there was a cold wind and he doesn't like that. Went out for several walks around the neighbourhood calling and rattling treats before DS piped up that he'd let him in when he came home from his friend's house. About 30 minutes after the cat had gone out so completely normal for him.

Found him curled up on a bed upstairs.🙄

Well, he missed the obvious: Linney is not like most cats!

This is exactly the sort of thing that happens in our house.

I think Frankfurter missed me. He was beginning to get cuddly before I went away and I was worried that he'd forget that he liked cuddles but he's even more affectionate since I got back 😍 I can now stroke him without having to let him sniff my hand first and I even managed to pick him up to put him next to me and he didn't freak out. Grumpy Raven also decided to curl up right next to him which she doesn't usually do with any of the cats except Toad. (She's still a dick to the others though)

I think I’m expected to stay in my pyjamas today. Kitty’s enthusiastically making biscuits. Good thing I’m WFH.

DD2 was playing tea party this morning and prepared a special dish for Snowcat. The presentation looks quite avant garde.

That’s very kind of DD2! Snowcat looks a bit doubtful though.

@EmpressaurusKitty she loves her toy mice, but I think she’s wondering why it’s necessary for it to be in a cup and whether it would be rude to take it out.
