The last thread filled up very quickly, mainly thanks to Gizmo's adventures. He is now a fully-fledged Excellent Cat.

And it's allegedly summertime so Ho for the Hols!

I am a bit jealous as I wear a lot of black- and Breadcat is a tortie so I am always covered in fur that really shows up!
We got here through the stray cats distribution network though so you do not get to choose. She is going ginger in the sun.

Arrived half an hour ago, at the same time as the Asda delivery.

What excellent timing. Everything can go straight into the fridge.

I had to go to work this morning. Cats were making it very difficult. Thrifty held my finger with her paw, then Izzy curled up on my desk and looked cute. But I must make money to feed them. Damned capitalist system.

Further to my outpouring of kitty appreciation earlier, Thrifty just made moves on my pizza. Not such an angel now. (Thanks to DS's sharp eyes she didn't get it.)

(This would leave the church service without its only tenor, and DS2 - the organist 🤣)

Just a warning to anyone in South Wales or possibly SW England. I am planning on having a one person BBQ on payday (Wednesday) so this lovely weather will probably turn into torrential rain then. I apologise in advance 😔

In the unlikely event that I do manage to have my solitary BBQ, how much extra food do you think I need to cook to pacify the demons (Toad and Ghostie) who will probably be in the garden with me.

I'm afraid I've already got the bbq curse today @RumNotRun. DS1, DS2, DS1's GF and another friend left on the boat to go to Windsor earlier. Due back at 7.00.
Been called by DS1 to tell me Windsor lock is broken (a boat stuck in it, hydraulics doing nothing at either end of the lock). 2 hours away from home - waiting for the lock keeper to arrive.
Optimistically I reckon we'll bbq at 9.00 at the very earliest...

And Rum - cook at least three times as much as you expect to eat yourself in order to pacify your demons

All the black beauties are frankly overwhelming.

We’ve just had a bbq in the garden. Cooking went as expected. The Ubereats delivery man stayed for a beer.

I’m insanely impressed I know two organists. We get the vicar’s iPhone on speaker. (I’m dying to hijack it with the Chemical Brothers, church is a gothic revival marvel with acoustics Jay Z could only dream of.)
