Passports, buckets and spades - the Excellent Cats go on their holidays

The last thread filled up very quickly, mainly thanks to Gizmo's adventures. He is now a fully-fledged Excellent Cat.

And it's allegedly summertime so Ho for the Hols!

He definitely didn't travel down with me 🤣

Gizmo has spent all day away from his desk.

I'm assuming that one of our neighbours has given him a nice sofa to lie on.

Unless, of course, he has thumbed a lift to Cornwall, intending to gatecrash Grumpy's holiday.

Toad was very hyperactive this morning until he decided to throw some books on the floor and sleep on the bookcase. He's been as good as gold since.

Raven then decided she also had to sleep on the bookcase, shoving her fat bum in the Toad sized space. I have now had to clear the top shelf in order to accommodate both demons.

@TheShellBeach TC's dad must take comfort from seeing that lovely picture of Gizmo lying on your bed. He looks very settled. Hard to believe he came to you so recently

@Papergirl1968 : Matt probably thinks the carry cot is for him. It is the perfect size, isn’t it? This reminds me of the cat who arrived at our door during an extremely cold, snowy winter. He ended up staying with us, despite attempts to find where he came from.
For the first few weeks, he decided the baby car seat in our hallway was a perfect bed for him. I don’t think he ever used the bed in the cat tree we got him.

Matt was very taken with the Moses basket too when we had that here.

Vixen has been breathing a bit weirdly for a couple of days. She's fine other than that,still eating, running around, using the toilet, climbing me so she can sit as close as possible 😄 She is thinner than usual too, although has always been petite.

I've booked her in to see the vet on Friday morning (payday!) I'm just hoping it's something simple and fixable.

We're trying a new vet that sounds great. They only see cats and exotics, but have a separate waiting room for the cats, complete with Feliway plug ins and Feliway scented blankets!

I wish he'd give Linney lessons. He's invariably got blackish bits on his fur.
I don't know where he gets so mucky.

Looking at it's shape that is not a cat, it's a sheep. A very grumpy, but little, sheep.

Maybe it's not a sheep, but is wearing several different outfits. When one gets mucky, the cat takes it off to reveal the fresh clean new coat.

Love the sheep thing but it is a cat with attitude!
