I love how his whiskers are so glorious that they are affected by gravity 😁

I think he and Penelope are going to have arguments about who has the finest whiskers. 🤣

I never wanted a Persian cat before. Now I feel like I need a Paddington (and a Hippo-pen). Clearly I was mixing with the Wrong Sort of Persians before.

Not that I'd swap them for my sweet moggy girls, of course. Mostly. To be fair, Thrifty can do an upside-down inside-out black-and-white chill thing too, if somewhat less fluffy. Also fine whiskers, but no moustache.

Leroy has a hard life, but a very warm tumber.

Zeus also knows how to chill with accessories. He LOVES my manky slippers, or any shoes. Weirdo.

Yes, he did.

And on another occasion, he didn't make Picard leave "because it was very dark and late, and it was blowing a gale".

BTW Picard lives three doors down from us, so it isn't an arduous journey.

@Papergirl1968 he came with the name and we decided it was perfect.
One day, though, I want a cat named Alan. It's the perfect cat name.

I think Tobias may be starting to come round just a teeny tiny bit. Came down this morning, usual routine of dumping bits in the study & putting mobile on charge, then into the living room to put the News on & collect last nights supper dishes before making them their breakfast.

Except the doorway was partly blocked by a certain tabby & white young gentleman approaching me with a hopeful look in his eyes & arching his shoulders. I reached down & gave him shoulder scritches expecting him to move on after 5 secs, but he just stayed clearly enjoying it, then moved just enough that my had was by his favorite bum scritch place, then back AGAIN to the shoulder area!

He has accepted short fusses now and again, but this time he actually came to me to request it! He may well decide to have a swipe at me when he gets his "I'm off to work now" treats like he sometimes does, but currently on cloud 9.

Great update @Allergictoironing. Always delighted to hear about how Tobias is getting on.

It has made me think about our relationships with our cats though. As a similar example I'm always pleased when TC accepts a stroke or a scritch without attacking me. Can't help feeling the advice on MN about a partner who behaved like our cats would be to LTB. 🤣🤣🤣
