I thought I should warn you all. Be careful when ordering from Amazon. I ordered some bits and pieces and also got sent a ferocious wild beastie.

I came back from the lunch club for old people (I have such a thrilling life - I won some sweets in the bingo game) and Linney, Picard and Suzy were in the front garden, as usual, but they were having an extremely tedious and long-drawn-out dispute.

You know - when they all wail, fluff their tails up, and generally object to one another's presence.

Picard then moved into position, attempting to stop me from getting into my house

Meanwhile, Linney decided to stop Mr SB from putting the recycling into the bin

Oh Shell, you clearly interrupted some important debate there! I was woken up this morning at 3.45 by two cats having an argument. There was lots of hissing and growling and the weird meow type noise. I knocked on my window and the aggressor looked up as if to say "what? Nothing to see here" then sauntered a bit further down the road. The poor picked-on cat stayed hidden underneath a car but there was no more noise so I presume they both went home shortly afterwards

So has peace broken out amongst the warring factions yet @TheShellBeach?

We had a new hard floor put down in our living room. Cat is disgusted and refusing to go downstairs.

Well, Linney is having a well-earned nap in his igloo.

Probably for the best. Ping pong balls being smacked around on wooden floors at 4am is not a great way to wake up 😁

@YesItsMeIDontCare excellent news about your husband, and I love Leroy's new coat. I've spent the past few weeks going through a cancer scare myself. Got good news this morning so I can try and move on now.

Re cat nicknames, we have Walter (black and white, aged almost ten for the newbies), aka: Walt, Walty, Little Walt, Walter Walter John Travolta, Old Man.

We also have Benny (orange, about to turn one), aka Ben, Benny-boo, Boo, Benny-bro, BENJAMIN! (When he's naughty), or most often - OMG WTF ARE YOU DOING NOW?!

Oh, I can't see anything rude, but it's the whole idea that one might. You know, like the barking mad concept of modesty shorts.

I think sometimes Fred thinks his name is Freddown or FredOff as I seem to say those as much as his actual name.

Tonight I have used the phrase "Lexter we do not wee on Toad's chilli pepper" far more than I ever thought I would. It's a new very strong catnip toy that Lexter is obsessed with crouching over and trying to wee on. Goodness knows why but I am going to bed shortly and am going to have to hide the chilli pepper somewhere so that it survives the night!
