Speaking of cat food, does anyone know of any wet food for sensitive stomachs? Ramsey doesn’t seem to agree with any commercial cat food, it gives him diarrhoea every time. I switched him to royal canin gastro intestinal. He LOVES the dry food but won’t eat the wet because it’s jelly and he prefers gravy.

I don’t want to just keep him on dry food. Does anyone know of any good quality wet food that won’t mess up his stomach??

Zooplus offer the royal canin gastrointestinal gravy version, which is popular with my cats.

@Canwegetanothercat I think we do indeed! Arthur loves a Dunelm double cover with matching pillow cases 🤣

coastergirl · 02/04/2024 23:15

@JaceLancs that is an excellent cat ladder! Judging by your username we probably aren't too far from each other actually.

Benny can definitely get down (and did). In the first few days of letting him out, he got on our roof and I was really scared that he was stuck, but he wasn't at all. He wanders a bit further than I'd like though, so I've ordered him a tracker.

Which tracker have you ordered? I’ve always wanted to get one

@coastergirl I’m in South Ribble 😉
We use an apple AirTag as there is no contract - downside is it only works when it pings off a nearby signal - so if Finlay goes off into a field (we are quite rural) it would only work if someone passes nearby with an apple device or we go looking for him and get near enough to ping the tag
DP loves a challenge and would have constructed the rest of ladder to go to ridge of roof if it had not been so wet yesterday
With previous Dcat who have been more agile I’ve had issues with them trying to get in bedroom windows via flat roof nearby as have a dormer bungalow with single storey extension - had to put up cat/mosquito netting - nothing more terrifying than being leapt on through an open window whilst fast asleep!!!!

coastergirl · 03/04/2024 01:02

@Canwegetanothercat it's called Tractive. I have friends who use them and find them really good.

@JaceLancs I'm in Southport, so not far at all! My family are all from Preston though. Loads of the houses around us have extensions with flat roofs and Benny basically goes exploring on them.

My first cat used to come in via a window as we lived in a first floor flat with a wall just outside. He frequently jumped on us at night, a few times with a rabbit or mouse in his mouth!

Well it was fun while it lasted. At least they come in packs of five 🤣

Is that the thing that Linnekins was allergic to?

It is was.
Ours love them to bits (literally)

RumNotRun · 03/04/2024 19:03

I think we are down to the last two here although Fred was happily playing on his own with the string like the little oddball that he is.

Hello
As a long time admirer of the excellent cats, please can my cat Breadcat apply to join?
CV:
Has risen through the ranks from scavenger in the garden to manager of a household with several servants.
Very fond of sitting on a crackly plastic bag.
Does not let herself be ruled by the clock- if awake it is time for breakfast.
Has just learned to purr age 15

Such a fan of all your photos, unfortunately Bready runs like the wind when I get my phone out!

Hello, Breadcat.
Well done on finally learning to purr!

RumNotRun · 03/04/2024 21:15

Hi Breadcat, you are beautiful. Congratulations on finding your purr. I hope you got extra treats for that.

JaceLancs · 03/04/2024 21:23

Hi Breadcat
Finlay has been in this afternoon for quick lap session then went off out again - I’m a bit worried he’s doing too much so am going to book him a vet check next week as we are now over 3 months since surgery

Thank you all
Jace I have been watching the beautiful Finlay progress and think you are doing great.
Breadcat has a balcony with a ladder- I will post a picture when it is daylight- maybe a platform would tempt him away from the roof?
Mind you cat- so probably not

Breadcat24 · 03/04/2024 21:29

Rum- thank you her treat was getting me out of bed at 5am for breakfast as purring was cute!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 03/04/2024 21:44

Welcome to the thread Breadcat. Most impressed by another cat on the thread who has his own ladder. 😺

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 03/04/2024 22:04

Ours do sometimes use the loft ladder though.

A ladder and a balcony! Any sign of a feline Juliet? 😸

Breadcat has an amazingly sweet face. With all these gorgeous recent arrivals I just hope the thread won't explode from an excess of cute.
