We're going for ours in a couple of weeks, to be administered with Covid Jab Number Nine Million.

I've had flu and covid jabs. Same day, one in each arm. Absolutely no effect whatsoever 😁

Possibly because I already take enough tablets to sink a battleship 🙄😂

Same!

We had them together last year and there were no ill-effects.

Oh those itty bitty baby kitties...😻
Flu and pneumonia tomorrow and I must book my covid.

Supersimkin2 · 13/10/2023 20:36

Well done Ladies! Most efficient.

Prince won’t get out of bed and is all limp
and purry. He likes autumn.

Argh just when we thought things were going well with Lasagna...

Because of the weather, they're indoors more. And Tortellini (small, black, ex-feral) has spent pretty much the entire summer outdoors. Hasn't interacted with Las much at all, but what there has been wasn't good.

So he's been bullying her, to the point where she's been pooing herself. We're now back to introducing him to her, right back to square one. He sleeps in my room, the four incumbents are in the living room (not the catio, we need Tortellini to accept the indoor life so this is it for a week or two). Las is not allowed in the living room unless under close supervision, we're scent swapping again and the moment he acts up, he's out again. We know it will work, it worked with Toni, but it's a pain...

The plus is that after two years, Tortellini has finally decided that humans are OK and she's sat on my lap being petted for the first time in 2+ years, so we keep on believing.

I had my Covid and flu jab in the same time, in the same arm because I am well 'ard, being from SE London, originally.
Actually, I discovered during covid that if you stand to have the injection, and just let your arm dangle as if it doesn't even belong to you, the muscles are relaxed, so there is no soreness after an intramuscular injection. I think it was an Army nurse who suggested this technique when she did my first injection Star

The Practitioner Nurse who did the recent ones let me explain to her why I wanted to stand up to get the injection Smile

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/10/2023 22:42

Mrs Grumpy and I had our flu jabs last weekend. For some reason only I had been invited for the jab so Mrs G came with me and we persuaded the surgery to do a bogof deal for us. I'm booked for my Covid jab next week. We'll try the same again 😁.

Our surgery had no idea why I'd been summoned but Mrs G hadn't...

ImNotWorthy · 13/10/2023 22:48

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats Show them some scary pictures, in which Large Teeth are prominent. I'm sure they'll pretty soon agree to another bogof...

ImNotWorthy · 13/10/2023 22:50

@pointythings sending sympathy. But I'm jealous of lap cat success!

Oh! Now I understand! I had "Head Honcho" doctor do my jabs and he asked me to stand 🤷🏼‍♀️ He also looked utterly horrified when I said no-one would let me book "Chemo-Boy" in because he's not on their lists and got him a perfect slot within his treatment cycle.

Leroy has discovered that the new big fleecy blanket (ie my new heated throw) warms his fluffy bum very quickly 😂

ImNotWorthy · 13/10/2023 23:58

@YesItsMeIDontCare Your heated throw? <raises quizzical eyebrow>

Yes, OK. Fair point. 😁

It does say "Not suitable for pet use" but it doesn't say " Not suitable for deities" so 🤷🏼‍♀️

TheShellBeach · 14/10/2023 09:29

I don't know why they bother writing "not suitable for pet use" because as soon as any of us unpacks one, our cats immediately sit on them.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 14/10/2023 11:37

"not suitable for pet use" is about as useful as putting "may contain nuts" on a packet of peanuts.

Supersimkin2 · 14/10/2023 11:53

Heated throws are a better invention than chocolate and the wheel.

They save you a fortune on central
heating and they’re miles bettefor you cos the air round you is crispy and cool (if you’re tight like me) but you’re toasty so produce more kippy chemicals and relax more. Biology and that.

Leroy so clever and good. Might he be prevailed upon to lend to DH?

Technically, peanuts aren't nuts... 🙊

DH already has a heated pad which he can wrap round his arm. I hope he doesn't want my corner of the throw as well 🙈 Can't see Leroy sharing his majority portion 🙄

Am loving Kippy Chemicals, I shall be using that along with "Up Carpet Hill to Napland" 😁

Eating food generates Kippy Chemicals in my body, and sometimes makes me go for a nap.

My DF used to say "Up the wooden hill to Bedfordshire."

And very 'nutty' despite not being nuts 🤣.

On our way home.
Just driving by Loch Lochy again and thought of you all.

Hope Linney recognises us.

Benny caught me taking a slightly indecent photo of him and came to tell me off. 😂 He was neutered last week and has started venturing out, which he loves.

Benny is wondering "I'm sure I didn't used to look like that down there...??"
