Shady's got his knees under the table already.

nettie434 · 26/05/2023 13:09

Oh Shady, you know you are on to a good thing! Happy gotcha day!

LostCats · 26/05/2023 14:55

Kyse23 · 26/05/2023 11:12

Kyse23 · 26/05/2023 11:44

Only one other cat I can think of that was like this 30 mins after arriving ❤️

Cheddar was also like that!

Guiltypleasures001 · 26/05/2023 15:35

What a furry eared sweet heart 😍

TheShellBeach · 26/05/2023 15:45

Oh I'm so glad you got Shady!
He's very laid back, isn't he.

Lovely to see him so at home.

Kyse23 · 26/05/2023 16:09

He's had some food, a wee and tested out my bed

LostCats · 26/05/2023 16:26

Oh wow! He’s on the bed already? That’s absolutely amazing!

Kyse23 · 26/05/2023 16:35

He says of course! There is a standard to keep up with settling in quickly

Florissant · 26/05/2023 16:39

My prediction was right!

So happy to hear that Shady is settling in and making his presence known.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/05/2023 17:01

You know when you think "Oh lets treat the cats to one of those obscenely huge cats towers " , it arrives , you assemble it and it takes up half of your bloody lounge .
So you think "why don't we dis-assemble it...."

Then the House Panther Godess decides she likes looking down at us from a lofty height and takes up permenant residence (apart from breakfast/dinnner/Dreamies and litter tray visits )

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/05/2023 17:02

<<Disclaimer - dis-assemble after it was ignored for over 2 years >>

RumNotRun · 26/05/2023 17:25

I'm glad Shady is feeling comfortable in his new home. Let us know what Paws thinks when they meet each other, Shady looks like he'll be able to keep Paws in line.

Kyse23 · 26/05/2023 17:56

He's not as big as they thought. Well I mean he is big but not heavy! 6kg

Allergictoironing · 26/05/2023 18:39

Exactly Boycat sized 😁

(Dammit I miss that cat so much still)

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 26/05/2023 18:43

I think 6kg is heavy - Basil sized 👍

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/05/2023 19:22

Our boy was 4.4kg at one Vet appointment , he asked "does he finish his sisters dinnner?" which is Vet Speak for "Who ate all the pies" ?

MaleCat was just over 4kg last check so obviously felt ver' ver' fat shamed and muttered about Horses Heads on Beds .

Kyse23 · 26/05/2023 19:41

He thinks everything is to his satisfaction so far

Papergirl1968 · 26/05/2023 20:02

He looks very at home already!

Papergirl1968 · 26/05/2023 20:06

Supersimkin2 · 26/05/2023 09:09

Matt is ‘mature’ Paper, and has ‘grown to his full size’. He is ‘properly looked after’ and ‘very muscly’.

That's like me trying to kid myself I'm just big boned, Lana! 😂

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/05/2023 20:08

Is Shady missing his Evil Twin ? Grin

Allergictoironing · 26/05/2023 21:18

6kg doesn't always mean fat - Boycat was just very long and quite tall. Plus I think over 0.5kg of that was his tail - again very thin but LONG. His condition used to be deemed "perfect" at his MoTs.

And at Girlcat's MoT on Monday the vet said she isn't fat at all at 4.9kg.

0I, on the other hand, am just plain fat 😆

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 26/05/2023 22:53

Fully agreed about 6kg not necessarily meaning fat.
We've had some quite large (6kg plus) cats over the years but only ever had one fatty. My first black cat was a bit of a barrel with legs, his head and tail really weren't big enough to match his belly. Head first in a pint mug was not unusual for him 😹

RumNotRun · 26/05/2023 23:00

Toad has decided he is a very speshul cat who shouldn't have to drink boring water but should drink my squash instead

If we're having a round of black cats, here is Toby.

One of my DD's late cats. He was actually the first cat we ever had in our family, so he was the template for me IYSWIM.

I loved that cat. He taught me to love all cats.
