My Cat has been missing 2 days - Any more ideas on what I can do?

I'm a complete mess, my cat went missing very early hours of Friday morning. She must have gone out of the cat flap and for some reason didn't do her usual jump on my bed on her return, instead, she just hasn't returned.

She's 7 and when she was 2 used to go AWOL at times but since then has been a real homey cat and never goes far, hence me not locking the cat flap on Thursday night (which I feel so guilty about).

I've put her details all over Facebook, local groups and lost and found groups too. Put out some posters, been out early this morning and called for her and told everyone in my street to look in their sheds etc. Now I've run out of ideas and feel so useless not doing anything that might help bring her back.

She's been my one constant companion the past few years and I'm a wreck without her (I live on my own) and guess I'm just clutching at straws in case anyone has any ideas of what I can do, or even some hope that she will return soon. Thank you x

Have you thought about getting some kind of tracker type collar? We use Apple air tags on our two when we take them on holiday.

So happy Scully has come home.
Like a PP, I would recommend a cat tracker if she will wear a collar.
It gives you so much peace of mind knowing approximately where they are.

Brilliant news!

This thread has given me hope our cat has been missing for just over a week now

PushkaMcgee · 07/12/2022 17:32

@Ilovecats98 It's a horrible time waiting and not knowing but keep hopeful and I'd really recommend putting flyers in all of the houses in local roads asking them to check their shed and outbuildings etc, I'm convinced that's where Scully was. Thinking of you and hope your little furbaby returns very soon.

@DomesticShortHair and @EarthlyNightshade Scully is very slight and refuses to wear a collar, she managed to lose all of the ones I've put on her in the past, however I will persevere and see if I can get to wear one and then I will definitely get her a tracker (or air tag). Thank you x
