Apparently I opened the wrong door for him to come through. Sat there for ages. I’m in a bungalow. So I was hanging out an open window that he always climbs through as well. Oh to be a cat

😂that reminds me of one of my cats, the french door was open but she HAD to go out of the kitchen window even though it was closed and she almost had all the washing up on the floor!

If it makes you feel any better, my cat will not eat his food if it's in the wrong place. The place changes every sodding mealtime. He sits mournfully in the place where he wants it until one of his staff present him with his food, give him a fuss, and tell him he's a good boy 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️

If that isn’t the perfect description of a cat, I don’t know what is

One of mine spent a lot of time 'shouting' yesterday and I went round checking everything that could be wrong like the food, water, cat flaps were working etc etc.

DP comes home and tells me about the dead mouse he'd picked up from the driveway outside.

Seems that my 'offence' was failing to go outside and admire the lovely gift he'd brought me.

Could be worse. Sometimes I open a door when what they clearly want is a window opened. 🤦‍♀️

Haha, I'm such a slave to my cat I'd absolutely have gone to open the correct door for Her Royal Highness!!

My madam has a perfectly functional cat flap, but insists I get up from the sofa to let her in the human door.
Also, if I open the kitchen door and she finds it’s raining outside, we have to go to all the other doors to see if the weather is better out of them. After which I get treated to the look of contempt for failing to switch the rain off at any of them…

My cats have trained me to prop the cat flap open for them so they don’t have to push it open.

@Babdoc he does that. Will walk to the other end of the house. Make u open the front door and then looks at me In disgust when it has the audacity to be raining out the front of the house. 😂😂😂

Brilliant. My eldest cat is going a bit ga ga in his old age. He comes in through the back door, goes to the front door and meows as though he's not been out for days. Repeat x infinity

😂. We have those kind of doors and another door a bit further along the back of the house. The other door could be open and she would still sit by the patio doors. Cats are so funny

My cat won't leave the house unless I push the cat flap open for her. She will miaow at me ,tap me on the ankle and run to the cat flap. She then waits patiently until her servant opens the flap. Strangely, she can enter her residence without assistance!

I spent most of Sunday trying to work out where a strange mewing sound was coming from. Searched everywhere with no luck.

When I spoke to our nice new neighbours later on they sighed and pointed to their shed. The previous owner’s have only moved to the next village, but their cat (who’s been terrorising the street and all other cats for many years) has refused to move and has made his way back several times.

It turns out he’s now staging a sit-in on the shed roof, yowling in protest at anyone who passes by.

There is no reasoning with a cat.
