Supersimkin2
I think all the local cats can swim (or at least get out of the backwater when they fall in).
My old grey tabby got a moorhen once and after we rescued it (it was fine btw) we realised he was dry on top but his legs & belly were soaking wet. He'd obviously gone in to catch it.
Mind you the same cat had a (very brief) go at a black swan in the garden once, so I'm not convinced he had very good judgement. Grin

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats he looks and sounds a right character!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 20/02/2022 20:07

He was a right character indeed. Lived till he was 17 and is still missed Smile.

TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 20/02/2022 20:59

Betsy is really snuggly at the moment. She is so standoffish normally but yesterday she laid next to me for about 6 hours and she is back up next to me again now.

I wonder if it's the bad weather that's making her feel more affectionate than usual?

Whatever it is I'm not complaining!

Moorhen victor very dear.

You could stage a synchronised swimming battle with cats, Grumpy. Retire on the YouTube proceeds.

swampytiggaa · 21/02/2022 17:29

This makes me smile and I was reminded by @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats posts 😂😂

That cat does not look impressed does he 😀 he’s definitely writing a letter.

TalkedTooMuchStayedTooLong · 21/02/2022 18:46

DD has been doing some half term art and has drawn Wanda! 😻

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/02/2022 18:49

Crikey.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 21/02/2022 18:51

Wanda drawing is brilliant. Your dd should do cat commissions. 👍

Supersimkin2 · 21/02/2022 21:41

That’s really, really good.

Supersimkin2 · 21/02/2022 21:45

I gather Queen’s neighbours are on MN

I have added a helpful(?) comment to the above thread. Wink

nettie434 · 22/02/2022 01:06

Adding my admiration for your daughter's drawing skills TalkedTooMuchStayedTooLong.

I saw the thread about visiting cats. I thought those posters definitely don't understand TC's determination or Paws so-called 'home' circumstances so glad you both commented Grumpy and pawpaws2022.

Also glad that you, Mrs Grumpy, et al are safe from floods and falling trees. Saw there was an earthquake in Walsall tonight. This weather/climate change 😱

pawpaws2022 · 22/02/2022 01:10

Not like stinky paws just lets himself in and tucks himself up in bed Grin
He's decided the cat room spare room is his, as is the pile of clean bedding. Sometimes I'll be busy working and go in the spare room and he's sneaked in and fallen asleep Blush

nettie434 · 22/02/2022 09:10

But it's lovely that Paws has got you and Ollie pawpaws2022, even if he does sleep on your clean bedding. He just assumes it's there to make him more comfortable.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 22/02/2022 10:43

The other thread is getting decidedly bad tempered. I've posted my favourite TC shots to calm things down Shock Grin.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 22/02/2022 10:45

Loved the Paws photo btw👍

pawpaws2022 · 22/02/2022 11:24

A dog just went for Ollie Angry his tail is all bristly now and he is peering outside
It came in my garden and the bloody owner had no control

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/02/2022 12:03

Some dog owners have no control over their dogs, was it on a leash? Cats have good memories so hopefully he’ll remember that dogs trouble.

Those threads always kick off, usually the whole indoor/outdoor debate and people who think you shouldn’t feed a stray even if it’s practically a skeleton pile in.

pawpaws2022 · 22/02/2022 12:10

Off leash. He's bristling Blush

Blimmin menace, that hound. Poor Ollie.

It’s raining so hard Capn’s watching a documentary on Van Gogh.

pawpaws2022 · 22/02/2022 13:57
