Surely this is the ideal way for the CofE to increase church attendance.

The service with the animals in the Vicar of Dibley is one of my favourite all time comedy episodes.

I've met a few Cathedral cats through singing, and very unusually someone brought a small, well behaved, and quite cute dog to choir practice on Sunday morning just gone. The dog seemed to like everyone except me. Clearly an animal of advanced sensibilities
I rather like the idea of a church animal, even the archetypal poor church mouse.

I think Leo the cat at Canterbury Cathedral definitely increased online attendances during lockdown. I think it was YetAnotherSpartacus who first posted on here about him. Here's a compilation!

Happy belated Galentine's Day to all the Litter Tray aficionados.

I visited a very ancient chapel in Sussex with a Church Sheep. She was spherical, friendly and greedy - stood at the entrance welcoming visitors and being patted senseless. Her wool was about a foot thick, lovely.

The diocese paid her a salary annually for sorting out the graveyard grass.

It was you Spart and the memory is unforgettable - Leo made me laugh for the rest of my life.

Capn sat on my coat this am so I couldn’t go out. But I came back with a sack of snacks from Pets at Home so the disobedience was overlooked.

He said the feedback was I’m excellent at what I do and to place me in the right job. Got down to 2 of us and one was more confident

Well that’s upsetting. The customers would have all been Audi drivers so you’re best off out of it anyway. There will be other SA jobs.

Very sorry about that - it's a complete sod getting to the last two and not getting the job (been there several times myself ).

@nettie434 my bishop friend was trying to get his cats to appear on his lockdown videos. Betty can be heard yowling in one. They came in for the rehearsals but disappeared for the real thing. Typical!
