I had a rural patient once who was given a brace of game birds and hung them in her pantry, she kept finding feathers off them on the floor & thought it was odd but didn’t think to check why.

Her cat was climbing the shelves and had eaten all the breasts off them. She was very disappointed when she got them down to pluck and found out, the cat had eaten it’s normal food too throughout.

Well done, Cap'n, both for your hunting prowess and your health.
We had a Siamese many years ago who dragged a knitted clown doll over the fences from three houses away. It was as big as him. He left it outside the back door where it gave my mum a right shock.

TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 11/02/2022 09:18

My old cat Thomas used to bring home weird things. He went through a stage of bringing home babies socks. We also had a hot jacket potato wrapped in foil and half an onion 😂

pawpaws2022 · 11/02/2022 09:32

I'm feeling like Ollie is letting the side down here. He brought me a leaf once and shouted the place down over it
Apart from that he just brings me monochrome cats

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 11/02/2022 10:16

pawpaws
I'd be much happier if our cats brought home monochrome cat friends, rather than the endless supply of rodents and birds...

I seem to captured a slightly unusual Basil shot the afternoon.
Make of it what you will Smile

Seriously grumpy this afternoon.
It's cold. I have zero cats, Mrs Grumpy has three cats. AND Mrs Grumpy commented as soon as Basil sat down on her, 'Oh I was going to make coffees but now I can't.'

TC still loves you, Grumpy!

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/02/2022 17:28

It’s not Mrs Grumpys fault Basil sat down. I bet she was going to get something sweet to go with the coffee too. But, then she couldn’t, through no fault of her own. I have the same problem here, I’m a cat magnet & dh is “the other human, who also lives here” again. It’s a curse. It really is. At least he doesn’t have to walk the streets at 2am looking for this one with a torch.

Dh is on a 48hr ECG so “we’ve got more to throw at Cardiology next week”. Bless that Dr for her sense of optimism about Cardiology 😂 as if they give a shit. Leading cardiology unit in the East Midlands my arse. Might as well send the results to Human Resources & see what they think.

Code Wine.

coastergirl · 11/02/2022 19:45

🍷 for fluffy. You can share mine.

pawpaws2022 · 11/02/2022 20:00

No wine here sadly, just an orange juice ice lolly - which I am getting longing looks for Hmm little weirdo that he is

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/02/2022 21:10

Did you find out if it’s covid again@coastergirl?

coastergirl · 11/02/2022 21:12

It's not covid, thank goodness. Just a nasty bug. I've been ill for a week now (this time) and getting no better

YesItsMeIDontCare · 11/02/2022 21:13

Leroy is traumatised.

He sauntered in to the bathroom to find his summer nap spot full of WATER and his momma LYING IN IT.

His eyes were like saucers 😂

I haven't got wine or an orange juice ice lolly

pawpaws2022 · 11/02/2022 21:27

< hands over ice lolly >
Might be a bit of Ollie drool on it Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/02/2022 21:46

Dh lifted Puddy up but whacked her little head on a plate hanging over the edge of the table. She’s not happy about it, even after dreamies.

coastergirl · 11/02/2022 21:47

Poor Puddy 🥰

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/02/2022 22:08

It wasn’t even a China one, it was ceramic.

Athenajm80 · 11/02/2022 23:22

I had rare cuddles from Vixen tonight. She was quite well behaved, moving whenever I wanted to get up, and waited patiently till I was settled with all necessary accoutrements around me before she came back to snuggle. This never happens, she's always in the bathroom, sleeping on top of the toilet rolls. I am honoured

TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 11/02/2022 23:33

Ivy has surgically attached herself to me. This is her favourite snuggle position.

She is currently licking my cheek and nose while DH keeps commenting on how weird it is 😂

Capns had his pill in extra-thick double cream. Dollop the size of his head vanished.

I’ve given up any semblance of propriety. Poor bugger’s stiff as a board after the fight with the pigeon but we’re both still incandescent with pride.

Good luck with the ecg Fluffy - is it one of those ones gentlemen wear like a crossbody phone case? Stick extra pillows under DH in case it nips him in the night.

coastergirl · 11/02/2022 23:57

@TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo DH is just jealous

Allergictoironing · 12/02/2022 08:06

I have a pair of very confused and slightly distressed cats.

Last night all was fine, mama goes to be & feeds dreamies, light off. Then lights on, wanders around for a bit, lights off. Then Mama gets out of bed again (about 2-2.30am), goes downstairs & makes a call. Half an hour later a couple in a big yellow van wearing green KIDNAP Mama.

She doesn't appear again until 7:30 this morning. Interestingly as the cab drew up I could see 2 little black faces peering through the curtains, but by the time I got through the door they were lying down well away from said window "who us? looking for Mama to get home? Never!"

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/02/2022 08:11

YABU. You ruined the normal night time routine with no regard to their feelings.

They’ll never recover from this.
