Sulking noisy cat here. He is shaking his head and scratching his ear, which he did last year and the vet said nothing wrong
I've put ear drops in which has been treated like I was torturing him, and now he's shouting at me

@ihaveonecat ivy does this occasionally. When she was taken into the rescue she had cat flu, she was over it when I adopted her but then 6 months later she was poorly with sneezing, head shakes, holding one ear really flat and growling if I tried to touch it.

The vet said she had a virus linked to the cat flu (can't for the life of me remember what he called it) and it will recur over the years, she just needs a steroid jab every time.

Could it be something like that?

It was horrendous. My dad is still getting flashbacks.

@TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo could be - he has steroid injections for overgrooming funnily enough!

@ihaveonecat ivy had them for overgroomjng too! Although weirdly enough when we got her a kitten she started grooming her instead of herself 😂

Capn gets itchy ear, lasts for a couple of days. Invariably stops when the drops arrive.

I’m allowed to scratch it, a compliment no one really wants to get. Put a wipe on your little finger and don’t tackle it before a meal.

@Supersimkin2 tried scratching it. He looked at me like I was attempting to murder him, slammed his ear flap down and shouted at me

Well it's been very active here, my middle-aged rescue cat has just caught a mouse for the first time since I got her almost a year ago! She was VERY proud. (Of course she tortured it rather than killing it, and I had to grab and dispatch it... but I was so impressed by her prowess that I didn't really mind.)

Rare sighting of a twin void today

There's been a contretemps today 😲 Woody, who is the gentlest cat ever has had a full-on scrap with a random black cat who appeared from nowhere this afternoon. I ran outside to intervene as did my neighbours due to the screeching, I was sure I'd find a bloodied and bleeding boy on the path. Nope, he strolled back inside and sat washing his paws before falling asleep
