Thank you! I’ve been all through mumsnet swears & couldn't find it.

ihaveonecat · 04/02/2022 21:06

No problem! I only use it on my back, and I've had it since the end of November. Fair bit of it left too
If I skip a couple of days, my spots return but I'm happy enough to keep using it

Supersimkin2 · 04/02/2022 21:09

The chaise longue exists and is Capns. Everything else is unnervingly mostly accurate but as I sit here in Sainsbury’s men’s check pyjamas it doesn’t feel like it. I wouldn’t have pix up Of famous people - cat pix better.

Have you tried the ordinary brand salicylic toner Fluffy. Fiver on ASOS, one of the best ever. Strong so take it off after 10 min.

ihaveonecat · 04/02/2022 21:24

I used a peel that came in my beauty advent calendar. Bearing in mind I use acids and retinol etc regularly - Jesus Christ. I thought my face was going to fall off, the tingling after 15 seconds was insane and I thanked god I didn't take it down my neck like the packet said
Skin was glorious after

Supersimkin2 · 04/02/2022 22:10

Crikey. Here’s one for Ollie

Ollie "MEAN KITTY"
He's currently silent as I've sung a made up song to him so I have blinking loving cat

This was the peel in case anyone wants to singe their face off

Been quiet last few days sorry. I know we are crazy cat people but...

Mums doggo has been attacked by an Akita and things are very touch and go. He is only a terrier so very small. He has numerous puncture wounds which have had to be cut open because he had a giant abscess across his ribs and back. Also 2 fractured ribs. We are all in pieces praying he will recover.

TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 04/02/2022 22:27

This is how bad it is 😢😢😢

They think they will need to do reconstructive surgery as so much tissue has died with the sepsis. And the black bits of skin can't be saved. Just so desperately worried about him.

Supersimkin2 · 04/02/2022 22:37

How horrible for you all - so sorry to hear this. Please let’s hope the little boy gets through this.

Here’s wishing the Akita’s been dealt with, though that must be the last thing on your mind.

You should all try and get some rest. Awful
Abscesses, huge ones, do heal.

coastergirl · 04/02/2022 23:29

Ah that's awful 😢

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/02/2022 07:57

Jesus that’s bad.

swampytiggaa · 05/02/2022 07:57

@TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo I’m so sorry 😢 hope he pulls through. How scary for you all

Dove we may be on a cat forum, but most of us do like/love dogs too. So loads of sympathy and hopes of a recovery for the poor little chap.

Certain breeds of dog need special training, and unfortunately a mix of Game of Thrones and lockdown mean many unsuitable dogs have been bought as family pets. A friend of mine has recently set up a dog training business that specialises in these type of breeds especially huskies, and she says she has so many come to her that were bought as puppies then ended up in rescues as too much for their owners. Very sad.

TheSilveryTinsellyPussycat · 05/02/2022 09:48

What a horrific thing to happen 😪

YesItsMeIDontCare · 05/02/2022 10:29

Oh Dove I'm so sorry to hear this.

I really hope your little chap pulls through. Sending you much love. x.

TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 05/02/2022 10:42

Thanks all, they say he is a little brighter today which is good.

Mum and dad off to visit him this afternoon with some liver brownies (yak) that I sent to them. He's not really eating at the moment so hoping they tempt him.

Papergirl1968 · 05/02/2022 11:19

I'm so sorry, Dove. What a worry. Im.glad he is a little brighter. Hope he enjoys his snacks.

OrangeBlossom28 · 05/02/2022 11:30

@TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo Poor lovely dawg, sending lots of positive thoughts your way

nettie434 · 06/02/2022 10:34

Just adding my 🤞 and thoughts for your mum's dog Dove. How awful for you all.

TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 06/02/2022 20:39

@Supersimkin2 sooooo much floof!

Thanks all for the well wishes. Archie has been allowed home as he has started eating properly now. Back at the vets Tuesday to discuss what further surgery may be needed and he isn't allowed up or down steps or out for walks. He's definitely a lot brighter and happier though.

TalkedTooMuchStayedTooLong · 06/02/2022 21:29

That fluffy tummy needs kisses Super!

Thursday morning I put my trousers on the bed ready for work. I gave up and wore a dress 😁
He was still there when I got home...
