Cap't is looking in fine fettle this morning, Lana, and I love his food personalised with his full name! Smile

SpookyScarySkeletons · 22/01/2022 11:24

Beautiful squirrel came for snuggles again last night!

Loving the personalised food @Supersimkin2

Personalised food 😸 he’s a trend setter.

Puddy is completely ignoring me and staying under the bed, only coming out to eat and use the tray.

OrangeBlossom28 · 22/01/2022 20:48

Martha getting to grips with her new heated pad in her bed. She's not sure at all. I may have to put it on a chair or the floor for her!

That’s a look isn’t it.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 22/01/2022 22:15

Personalised food Cap'n? It that from the Republic of Cats by any chance?

Leroy loved the biscuits but would only eat one flavour of meat depending on the direction of the wind 😂

Same with my pair. A local animal rescue will be getting some very posh food when I get round there! And if the cats there don't like it, I'm sure the lovely cuddly ferrets will clean it up.

Supersimkin2 · 23/01/2022 09:26

Yes! I fell for it, Capn didn’t. He won’t touch ‘hipster gimmickry’ he says rudely.

What next, Dreamies served on slate?!!

I’m donating it to my neighbour’s cat who loves it madly. That won’t go down well either. Does Leroy want the biscuits?

SpookyScarySkeletons · 23/01/2022 09:41

Cat food question!

Ivy and Betsy have to go on a diet. I sat them down together and explained that it wasn't just fluff and that they need to eat a bit better. It didn't go down well.

At the moment they are finishing their big bag of Iams but I need a good healthy brand of dried food, light version. The veg also advised (after Ivys anal gland shenanigans) to switch to hypoallergenic.

What do you think is the best affordable brand for them? And where is the best place to buy the big bags that last a while?

Thanks! (Cat tax attached)

You'll get as many opinions on "best" and "affordable" as there are posters!

But I find Zooplus pretty good on prices and occasional offers e.g. 10kg of Royal Canin dry often comes with 2kg extra free. Plus free delivery if you order over a certain amount, and if you buy a 10kg bag depending on the brand/type that on it's own can qualify (mine, of course, comes just UNDER the DPD free delivery amount)

Allergictoironing · 23/01/2022 09:53

Oh, and loyalty points. Not massivly generous, but decent toys, snacks, accessories etc.

SpookyScarySkeletons · 23/01/2022 10:33

I'll go have a nosy thanks @Allergictoironing

I'm feeling a bit cautious about swapping brands after everything that went on last year with applaws et al.

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/01/2022 13:50

Puddy and Bertie both like Arden grange, it’s naturally hypoallergenic & they do a light version.

I buy the 2kg bags off Amazon in case she gets bored.

Dh found her lying on the dining table late last night, I didn’t know she could jump that high. She makes a pigs ear of getting on the spare bed sometimes. I’m starting to think there’s a lot she hides under her bushel. Dh said I wonder if we let her out she’s actually a cat version of a sniper in Mossad & would just decimate the wildlife.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 23/01/2022 18:44

Not enough to justify the postage cost and efforts, but thank you for the offer 😊

He's very much a "Royal Canin Digestive Care Adult" chap at the moment 🙄

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/01/2022 19:04

Not now you’ve written that he’s not.

Supersimkin2 · 23/01/2022 19:11

That’s the last time Leroy touches that RC rubbish, Woman Grin

Post will be pence if he changes his mind, or anyone else wants it. It’s such a marathon to make it to a post office counter I always go mad and buy a hundredweight of stamps.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 23/01/2022 20:23

🤦🏼‍♀️

You just cursed yourself 😂 he will never eat it again!!

(Name changed from spooky by the way)

MaybeHeIsMyCat · 24/01/2022 00:05

I'm up with a vomiting Ollie. He's not unwell as he's shouting at me Hmm
I think he ate something that didn't agree with him

MaybeHeIsMyCat · 24/01/2022 09:29

Well no more vomiting (he threw up 7 times last night) but he's very very quiet. I've made a vet appointment for tonight as if I don't, you know he will be dramatically unwell about 1 min after they close HmmGrin

Good luck love. I got woken to the sounds of pillow retching the other morning but strangely after Capn had got me up rather suddenly he was fine. Nabbed the rest of the pillow, spark out.

Here’s hoping Ollie’s eaten something nasty outside & it’s gone.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/01/2022 10:40

From retching to fast asleep in a microsecond 🤨 while we stand there saying “no one falls asleep that quickly!”

Poor Ollie, all that effort to be ill out of hours and you book him in for normal office hours. Bronze star and no lollipop for Ollie.

He has picked the day before pay day.... Hmm Fast asleep now and I guess that's the best thing for him. He's just unusually quiet
