Thug cat part 4. After all, it's not my Axminster.

By popular request, a furtherance of the Saga of TC the Stripey.

For anyone unfamiliar, this is a story of a war of attrition over the last two years waged by a fat stripey cat on the innocent and long suffering members (feline and human) of the Grumpy household. Now running at almost 3000 posts, clearly TC would give Grendel a run for his money

All literary references welcome, we've already had Shakespeare, Saki, James Thurber, The KJV bible, Judith Kerr, EM Forster, Benny Hill Shock and of course our own Supersimkin2 (to name but a few).

Omg@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats ...he looks like a wild bobcat in these photos!😳

CassandraCross · 29/11/2022 22:28

The face says it all.

Supersimkin2 · 29/11/2022 23:31

So good and beautiful - showing us all how to save on the heating in hard times.

What is on TC’s Xmas list? Apart from a refresher martial arts holiday in Israel and Sybil.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 08/12/2022 16:30

Popped round to let the dogs out.
TC appeared, and I even got a friendly under the chin scritch (with purring 🙀) before normailty returned. I think he expected me to feed him...

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats you are one brave hombre to be sticking your hand anywhere near those fangs!😳

Supersimkin2 · 08/12/2022 19:11

TC purrs!

He’s got a very expensive dentist by the look of his Hollywood Smile.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 10/12/2022 23:03

Sleepy (and slightly exhibitionist) TC.

What a tart 😆

TC Belly hair! How on Earth did you resist blowing raspberries in it?

TC Belly hair! How on Earth did you resist blowing raspberries in it?

Basic survival instincts.

I could blow raspberries on Asbos tummy.

Supersimkin2 · 11/12/2022 10:59

I’d lose an eye for that kitteny softness. He loves you, Grumpy. In his own way.

CassandraCross · 11/12/2022 11:29

By the way how does NDN get TC to the vet and how does the vet manage?

Namechangedjustforthisthread · 12/12/2022 21:27

TC gently using my leg as a scratching post under the promise of Dreamies. He really does behave like a different cat in his own house. Almost civilized 🤣.

Apologies - the last post was indeed mine 😼.

To be fair to him TC was probably also in a good mood because he'd been out in the snow since 08.00 and I'd just let him back into his house at about 12.00.

He really does behave like a different cat in his own house.

He really is Schrodinger's Thug Cat: he knows your house is his house so seeks entry to it, yet also he knows your house isn't his house so behaves differently.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 13/12/2022 11:55

How much does TC weigh? I'm curious because in those photos he looks like he's lost weight (or my boy has gained it).

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 14/12/2022 13:10

Another observation today concerning TC's schizophrenic character.
While next door letting the dogs out, TC appeared and then (after a few Dreamies) jumped on my lap purring. 🙀.
Five minutes later, as I'm leaving, he asks politely to go outside, so I let him out. As soon as he got outside he turned round, hissed and swiped my leg before stomping off.

I'd be a mite concerned about the location of TC's right front paw, personally.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 14/12/2022 13:14

I've come to the conclusion that his behaviour is reminiscent of Clytemnestra's kiss. Act charming, then smite you down. 🤣

Maybe there are two cats??

I think it's more a case of Mr Hyde with just a very very occasional appearance of Doctor Jekyll.

Aha! What a funny cat 🐈
