By popular request, a furtherance of the Saga of TC the Stripey.

For anyone unfamiliar, this is a story of a war of attrition over the last two years waged by a fat stripey cat on the innocent and long suffering members (feline and human) of the Grumpy household. Now running at almost 3000 posts, clearly TC would give Grendel a run for his money

All literary references welcome, we've already had Shakespeare, Saki, James Thurber, The KJV bible, Judith Kerr, EM Forster, Benny Hill and of course our own Supersimkin2 (to name but a few).

Maybe TC is mellowing with age? Or maybe this is just another tactic in the great assault on being accepted into Grumpy's world.

This is why I love cats 😂 I had an evil cat, she savaged everyone especially my mother but loved me.

And after walkies yesterday TC is back on our front step, having chased Karl back into the house. Unrepentant as ever.

So terribly misunderstood. Just a helpless scrap of fur.

This morning I left the house just gone ten and as I left TC was looking very decorative, sitting on the water butt. Back just before five and he's moved about 5 feet to be outside the patio doors. I suppose he may have been elsewhere in the intervening period but who lnows?

Patiently waiting and hoping for a word of love. Sniff…

Just watching and waiting for his opportunity.......

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats we haven't had an update recently ......... I fear that TC may have frozen outside your patio doors now that winter is on the way!! ......

He's definitely not freezing and is still omnipresent.
I posted a few pictures of him on another thread but for completeness will repeat them here.
This was him coming up to greet me yesterday morning for a heas scritch 😮. He clearly knew we had guests coming over later so also needed to be introduced to them when they arrived.

I do worry that TC may be 'softening up'. 🤣Although he still has occassional run-ins with my cats (generally just a lot of shouting) he actually only rarely savages me now and is usually quite civilized when it comes to stroking him (briefly).

Don't worry, panic over. He was outside when I went out this morning. Clearly didn't think I should be usimg the car so he hissed and then swiped me.

Has he formed a splinter group from just stop oil? Feline division.

Probably depends on if the car is going to pick up food or to the v.e.t.

Speaking of which, how does TC get on at the v.e.t.?

We are going to be feeding TC tonight and tomorrow morning 🙀. Opened the living room curtains this morning to find him lurking. Ten minutes later he's moved to a chair to observe us.
He knows, doesn't he?

I was round NDN's house yesterday evening during feeding time. I feel the dogs know their place.

True excitement tonight. Out in London (a rare treat in itself) and Robert Winston was in the same audience as us - talk about hobnobbing with the rich and famous eh? 🤣.
Got home just turned 11, and TC seemed remarkably pleased to see us, possibly since we were feeding and watering him tonght.
Not however as pleased as Karl who had been outside since lunchtime and was rather damp and VERY vocal when we got back. He's now sitting on Mrs Grumpy purring his head off. Clearly we are forgiven for abandoning him.
