By popular request, a furtherance of the Saga of TC the Stripey.

For anyone unfamiliar, this is a story of a war of attrition over the last two years waged by a fat stripey cat on the innocent and long suffering members (feline and human) of the Grumpy household. Now running at almost 3000 posts, clearly TC would give Grendel a run for his money

All literary references welcome, we've already had Shakespeare, Saki, James Thurber, The KJV bible, Judith Kerr, EM Forster, Benny Hill and of course our own Supersimkin2 (to name but a few).

We've noticed spray marks on the door before, but only now have we caught him in the act. I showed NDN the photos from this morning and he commented that TC seems to have developed extra stripes on this one. Personally I prefer the idea of him just being behind bars 😹

Now just hang a wee minute, how do you know that TC wasn't overmarking the spray left by the intruder responsible for Poodlegate and the recent scrap under the car?

Poor TC protecting his territory, seeing off intruders, replacing their scent with his own to warn them he's on their case and just no thanks at all, such trials and tribulations he has to overcome.

Actually, I think TC might settle for a plain old butler.

I'm afraid that butler is too high status for what TC is demanding. TC wants Grumpy to be a doorman (footman?), ready at all times to open the door to Chez Grumpy for TC to waltz in.

I agree with @YetAnotherSpartacus. TC will probably demand to have his newspapers ironed and toothpaste put on his toothbrush. Doorman is not esteemed enough for the Thames Terror.

I reckon TC will settle for Grumpy holding the door to Grumpy Towers open for him and serving him food - even in a plastic bowl...

Maybe also turning down the covers on the Grumpy marital bead for his lordship to have a nap too.

You can tell he thinks you’re being contrary using the car he’s chosen to nap on.

I don't know if anybody else follows George the Stourbridge Junction station cat but this is clearly the explanation for TC's love of sitting on Grumpy's car.
