Thanks! I hope Ollie's fur is beginning to grow back. I can't see him wearing a onesie to keep warm.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 09/10/2020 10:23

Thanks Queen 😊

Posting a pic of Leroy just because it's a new thread.

Captain V, Paws, catnip or dreamies?
QueenOllie · 09/10/2020 23:11

Ollie is obsessed with my new bargain M&S bedding. He never sleeps on my bed and now he won't get off it!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 10/10/2020 12:28

Allergic - how are you?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 10/10/2020 13:37

Also, Ollie - how are you?

QueenOllie · 10/10/2020 14:11

I'm good, having a cup of tea after receiving ollies out of hours vet bill ShockBlush

OP posts:
YetAnotherSpartacus · 10/10/2020 14:22

Is it covered by insurance?

QueenOllie · 10/10/2020 14:32

Thankfully! I've put a claim in anyway. £1133 and that's just the out of hours

OP posts:
YesItsMeIDontCare · 10/10/2020 14:54

£1133 would have me reaching for something stronger than tea!

TheLongRider · 10/10/2020 16:36

You'll have to setup a GoFundme page for him. Better than an Only Fans page....Envy (not envy)

QueenOllie · 10/10/2020 18:44

@YesItsMeIDontCare then I've got his other vet bill... I think that one is more £1700

OP posts:
Papergirl1968 · 10/10/2020 18:56

Bloody hell!
I was quoted £330 the other day for Matt to have his teeth cleaned. I thought that was bad enough.

Supersimkin2 · 10/10/2020 19:07

For £300 I'd take the GBH, @Papergirl1968. Gardening gloves from Poundland and Stiff Upper Lip, me.

@QueenOllie - the only way out of the bill feeling is carbs, some more carbs and one of those nice roast dinners you get up your way. Insurance will cover it.... and breathe. Then carbs. More breathing... more carbs...have you called the rspca if you are battling to pay. They go in for helping deserving individs and no one could be more.

Supersimkin2 · 10/10/2020 19:09

@YesItsMeIDontCare Leroy is splendiferous

QueenOllie · 10/10/2020 19:19

@Supersimkin2 thankfully he is insured Grin so I'm just crossing my fingers no issue with claiming

OP posts:
Supersimkin2 · 10/10/2020 21:52

Better have that dinner anyway. Good for the nerves :)

Allergictoironing · 11/10/2020 17:32

Phew was supposed to be in and out on Friday, only been home an hour.

All started well - first on the list and back in recovery and awake by 10.30am. Then had to wait until 10pm to get a bed on the ward, which meant couldn't go home that night. Eventually told at lunchtime i could go home after lunch, was waiting for the discharge form at 2pm when i coughed up a nice gobbet of jellified blood! As you can imagine no going home yesterday either, especially bearing in mind they didn't do my "urgent" x-ray until 10pm when the duty doctor chased them.

This morning they tried to say I couldn't see a doctor until tomorrow, but I threw a little tantrum and they have finally let me out.

On the good side, looks like he's managed a partial repair plus inserted a balloon cushion to reduce joint pain further.

nettie434 · 11/10/2020 17:57

Oh Allergic! Poor you. Hope you feel better for being at home Flowers

TheLongRider · 11/10/2020 18:14

I hope you were welcomed home with open paws by Boycat & Girlcat.

Allergictoironing · 11/10/2020 18:40

Both been cuddled already, though they wouldn't come out until DSis had left - despite her feeding them!

Typing hard, sorry...

Papergirl1968 · 11/10/2020 19:44

Oh Allergic! That all sounds very scary.
Do look after yourself x

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/10/2020 19:59

Im glad you got out of their eventually Allergic. Rest up & I hope you heal quickly.

You can audio type on some devices.

Supersimkin2 · 11/10/2020 21:16

Congrats on a painful job well endured, that was a bit of a marathon, @Allergictoironing. Well done on escaping incarceration. Now you look after yourself, girl.

Allergictoironing · 12/10/2020 08:11

Well managed to survive the night, best sleep for days & days. Was feeling v cold last night & temp was up a bit, all back to normal now & o2 sats are good. No blood since about 9pm Smile.

Kitties very happy to have me home, once he realised it was just me in the house Boycat has followed me around begging for cuddles - and who am I to deny him?

Thank you for your support ladies of the litter. Hopefully now just the expected difficulties of no primary arm for at least a month!

nettie434 · 12/10/2020 08:40

Glad you had a good sleep Allergic. A month sounds like a long time to manage with one non dominant arm. (I am wondering if it should be secondary but that makes it sound you might have a third spare one somewhere about the place). Anyway, assuming you can get those pesky pouches and Dreamie packs open, can you manage for yourself? Does your sister live reasonably near by? This is where deliveries are so helpful but the packing away is more difficult. I know Waitrose were trialling a packing away service pre coronavirus but I don't suppose there is anything like that now.
