Does your cat follow the “if I fits, I sits” rule?

Mine doesn’t. I have several boxes at the moment thanks to my online shopping addiction amazon, and yet Toots has shown no interest what so ever in sitting in them.

She would much rather lay in the windowsill, on the floor or sprawled on my bed

I used to have to remind my DC to check their book-bags before school to make sure the kitten wasn't hiding in there. We had one near-miss.

These days he's a follower of the "stretch-and-swipe" rule. He stretches out across the floor and swipes a paw at anyone who dares to attempt to get past him.

Mine likes sitting in boxes, except of course the lovely cardboard box my 6 year old spent ages colouring and then putting blankets and cat treats in for her last week... poor disappointed DS!

Mine only does this on clothes. I wish she sat in doll's houses!

I believe that I was missold my cat too. She has no interest in sitting in boxes, playing with toys, drinking out of proper water bowls (she insists on a human pint glass) or sleeping in proper cat baskets. To quote Mark Darcey, I like her just the way she is though.

Not just in, but on. He sat on the plastic marble run the kids left scattered about. That can't have been comfortable.

He seems perpetually annoyed that he's defeated by beanbags though. I can see him eyeing them up.

Yes we have a fan of bags, baskets and boxes here. She will also lie in any bit of paper, whether you’re trying to write on it or not!
