Robes or whatever the correct term is must make a lovely shady hiding place on a hot day. Fair play to the Archbishop for not reacting at all!

ClientQ · 29/05/2020 11:47

@Papergirl1968 off hand I can think of
Brandy and whisky next door but one
Fluffy mean house cat next door
Black and white cat 3 doors down
Fluffy ginger
Black with collar
New black cat
Black cat tom mean one
Paws
Bengal 6 doors down

Quite a community! Is black and white cat three doors down the Paws lookalike who Ollie doesn’t like?

ClientQ · 29/05/2020 14:14

On not it's not! That's limpy, I forgot that one Blush

Papergirl1968 · 29/05/2020 15:16

Limpy, that’s it! 😸

TheLongRider · 29/05/2020 18:41

Greycat has been hiding out in his version of Ma Bush for the past few days.

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who knows all the local cats 😂

We've got Leroy, then there's
Barney the "stray",
Hunter & Dinn up the road (brothers),
Ramona further up,
Splodge from over the back,
A new fluffy b&w,
2 new in new people's house,
Blackie (not his real name, Leroy hates him), and
Back neighbours also have a new one.

I seriously need to get a proper hobby...

TheLongRider · 29/05/2020 20:03

In our small cul de sac we have:-

Mimi old lady cat black and white, nervous
Capri boy white with cow print black splodges, playful
Archie long legged ginger and white, always sociable
My four cats
Tandy new Tortie , very friendly
Nala and Simba ginger and white boy and girl. He's friendly she's standoffish.
Joey, boy black and white. Best mates with Capri, plays with my four cats.
There's also a humongous black Tom, who sidles around the neighbourhood.

AW - he's gorgeous!

coastergirl · 30/05/2020 09:06

Hello, sorry I went awol. Life has been a bit hectic. Bloody children!

Bertie is doing well. So demanding of affection. Things are improving a bit between him and Walter. Still have the occasional hiss, but I've also seen them nose to nose a few times. Bertie has been going out but he doesn't go more than a few steps from the door.

nettie434 · 30/05/2020 09:17

YetAnotherSpartacus Did you see Have I Got News For You last night? Leo the Canterbury Cathedral Cat made it onto the show! I nodded in a knowing way, having seen the links you posted.

CoasterGirl Great news about Bertie and Walter.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 30/05/2020 09:24

Nah - just caught up with it. I have to keep myself from wondering what vicars wear under their cassocks and hoping that it includes underwear, just in case Leo mistakes any dangly bits for da bird.

TheSparklyPussycat · 30/05/2020 10:34

Leo was on The Last Leg as well as HIGNFY Smile

Papergirl1968 · 30/05/2020 10:38

Cassock! Thank you, Spartacus. That’s the word I was grasping for when I said robes. Grin
It sounds like it’s going very well, Coaster. You’re only a few days in and Bertie sounds like he’s settled down marvellously. So pleased.

Envy Where to?.

ClientQ · 30/05/2020 19:57

It's called Rossall beach. V v quiet there and I could walk straight into the sea without touching anything so I figured v low risk. Spent about an hour there

Papergirl1968 · 30/05/2020 20:43

Just north of Blackpool, isn't it? Queen.
You’re lucky to live near the coast. I am stuck in the Midlands Sad

ClientQ · 30/05/2020 20:53

It is yeah, fleetwood/cleveleys way. Took about 25 mins to get there

Papergirl1968 · 30/05/2020 21:06

Hope you had a lovely refreshing paddle!

Supersimkin2 · 30/05/2020 21:09

How gorgeous. Well done, bet it did you the power of good.

ClientQ · 30/05/2020 21:17

I did! Straight in the sea. I'm the same with any river or stream, just want to get in Grin
I saw a woman on a glass terrace overlooking the beach, she must live there. Anyway she was a colour like I have never seen Shock I swear she must have basted herself in oil and sat out 24/7 for 3 months

Supersimkin2 · 30/05/2020 22:58

Grin Loads of pasty Londoners are conker brown already. It's been a fantastic spring, hottest on record. Good timing, eh.

nettie434 · 30/05/2020 23:05

Lovely photo ClientQ - refreshing just to look at it!

I swear she must have basted herself in oil and sat out 24/7 for 3 months

You can always tell the locals at the UK seaside. Supersimkin2 is right though - lots of very tanned people about (except for me who only has two shades - pink or white)
