Hi Super,

I'm thinking about booking myself in to the cattery for a Bit of RnR too Grin
queen, is paws hoping to become part of the family? Is that a possibility if
Ollie plays nice maybe?

Betboo, is best off in the cattery, she hates being in doors all the time, and because she is
Dark can and will try and slip past you.

Supersimpkin · 08/08/2019 20:01

Guilty we Ladies of the Litter know no finer philosophical guidance than to let your cat be your life coach.

Mr C's had two Waitrose pates and is bawling for more. He knows there is yellow-sticker luxury pork slices with thyme coming. He is putting on weight, thanks to his new meds.

And the burgers. And the meatballs. And the Special Selection assorted meats.

I've had a shot of Vitamin D and am bawling for more. It makes you feel about 6. Middle class speed. Recommended to all, get the stuff from the doctor that works, not dust pellets off health shop.

Paws is here. Eating actual cat food, not cabbage. Ollie is sprawled on the floor watching him
I don't know if he has a home or not but I suspect Ollie won't share his human

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/08/2019 21:00

Guilty I guess your cautiously optimistic then?. What a time for this to happen as well.

TheLongRider · 08/08/2019 22:19

My parents have a female cat who is quite feisty. They also have a fluffy tabby Tom who really belongs to the neighbours but has been using my parents house as a cat B&B for years.

The female did what Ollie does to Paws, smacked him around a bit, until he learned who was boss. After that they've settled down together, separate food bowls, a comfy chair each at night. The cats aren't close but they tolerate each other. She's Top Cat and he knows it.

Guiltypleasures001 · 08/08/2019 23:07

Hi Fluffy

Yes we are at the moment thanks for asking, unless she gets an X-ray that's says different
If she can have tablets, then hopefully cattery lady can do them.
We obviously won't be going, if anything more is wrong

With me, even mild stress these days, doesn't result in mental anxiety, it's instantly
Physical, I seize up and the pain is in every muscle, I really do mourn my old life
I trained for 4 yrs for a specific career, and practiced for 4 yrs, now can't do it
Because of the pain and memory problems, I'm constantly apologising to my dh
For being so useless 😣

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/08/2019 06:32

If she’s on meds ask if they can crush them in food, I’ve never pilled asbo.

Supersimpkin · 09/08/2019 08:46

No one's ever pilled asbo. or tried, I should think.

Guilty you need that holiday. Do it. The misery of sodding chronic ailments is no joke. Betboo will forgive you, making a massive meal of doing so.

Talking of meals, Long I reckon you are absolutely right about Paws. If Olli can show dominance (punch in face) he should be ok with a second-in-command. And they may well grow to love each other.

I feel the need for some research. Fluffy - try and pill Asbo - a placebo will do - and report back. Inquiring minds want to know. Extra points for pictures.

YesQueen · 09/08/2019 12:51

Update on Henry cat that he's having his dental today. He's got a slight kidney infection and has been on a drip but is eating well and using a litter tray at the vets

Weezol · 09/08/2019 13:01

Fluffy careful prep for an experiment is key prior to commencing any study. I believe Superdrug have an offer on at the moment, buy on get one half price on dressings, plasters and other essentials.

I've never pilled Weezolcat. But I know my NHS number and bllod group by heart and live less than three miles from a major hospital. I have Amazon wishlisted the below just in case:

Weezol · 09/08/2019 13:04

Yes Lovely Henry. I'm so glad he's feeling better. He's exactly the cat I would like if I wasn't already owned by the Tasmainian Devil that is Weezolcat.

YesQueen · 09/08/2019 13:13

@Weezol even the vets won't give a tablet to Ollie. And he's only got one tooth HmmGrin

Guiltypleasures001 · 09/08/2019 13:14

So,

She's all scrummy and rolly and using that leg to scratch her ear
But won't be picked up, so will do an X-ray and see what's happening this
Afternoon.

Dh is a bit annoyed, he thinks this should have been done first, so we're no further forward
Holiday or cattery wise Hmm

Guiltypleasures001 · 09/08/2019 13:17

Hi Fluffy,

Bet doesn't do treats, she eats Sheba in gravy and dried, or a tin of tuna that's it
But the one time she had pills she was fine, but she's having jabs at the moment Confused
Oh and the odd lik e liks

YetAnotherSpartacus · 09/08/2019 13:22

Guilty - I do hope that kitty is OK. I agree with DH. I;d have thought that an x-ray would have been an obvious diagnostic tool (but I'm not an HCP).

Fluffy is quiet. Maybe she really did try to pill Asbo.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/08/2019 14:30

I’m not pilling that cat. Never gonna happen. He thinks advocate is a method of torture, even when I warm the phial next to my body.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 09/08/2019 14:35

Spoilsport.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/08/2019 15:19

Yes but I’m not bleeding. Unlike dh who played chase the feather with asbo but didn’t move quick enough.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 09/08/2019 15:26

Poor DH. His efforts and pain seem to go totally unrewarded. However, if Asbo ever does need to be pilled I think you have Your Man.

YesQueen · 09/08/2019 15:59

The vet does the flea treatment Blush when he goes in for his steroid jabs. He delights in screaming "wah wah wah" like he's being slowly tortured and then slamming his paw over his eyes while the vet tries not to laugh

Supersimpkin · 09/08/2019 17:39

Good news about Henry, medium-to-good about Betboo.

Weezolcat and asbo might get on well. Spart if there were ever a kitten resulting from the match, you are its owner.

Final update

She had X-ray shows small fracture of pelvis, no op let it heal naturall, will have to be on cage rest, for a while.
Wonderful lady at cattery has a large dog cage, which she used for her cat with the same injury, plus have to give oral meds phew.

Betboo is very quiet very sedated, not a peep in the car from her, dh is upset about this he's a massive cat lover, I never used to be before meeting him Grin

So she's there for the week, and we go away tomorrow at some point, the vets wanted to keep her, as they are all in love with her apparently Hmm

So now got to hobble around like like crazy, and pack etc

Good news about Henry Queen, at least he's in safe hands now, and many thanks for everyone's good wishes x

YesItsMeIDontCare · 09/08/2019 18:40

Lovely to hear things are looking good for Betboo and Henry.
.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who struggles with flea treatment. It's advertised as soooooo easy.

No.

Supersimpkin · 09/08/2019 20:17

That's the perfect signal for you to start packing.

Mr C has had the trots on the sofa. Yay for the fashion in elegantly strewn throws, eh.

He's better and has had a pate.
