We have a Kirk. He is a terror, especially to the local wildlife. Came with the name and we kept it. Last night's rodent was a mouse, but a live one. Cue me, a bowl and Keystone Kops music at 11pm...

I do wonder at calling a cat the name of the Dogstar though...

Big fat cat is Newton after Isaac Newton.

Tiny cat is Hedwig.

I've decided to do the decent thing and let the not-so-small Dragons have their input. Therefore I will be picking up Sirius and Captain Raymond Jacob Holt at 10am tomorrow. He will only ever be known as Holt at the vet etc though!

I have not told them yet.

Much as I'd love to call one Terry (ahem) I can't as that is the name of a disliked relative.

Oh I am sooooooo pleased you’re going with Captain Raymond Jacob Holt. Best cat name ever. We’re getting a dog next year and I’m quite keen on Rosa as a name (not quite as good as CRJH)

Fantastic name for a cat, especially when hes barrelling around at top speed - "Halt! I mean Holt!" Also means he can be The Captain on formal occasions

Yeah... he's a total wuss and has not been seen out from under the sofa for at least 3 hours 😂

Sirius is far braver.

Or Holt is sending Sirius out to test the waters. If he survives he’ll come out too.

DD is currently trying to lure them out whilst FaceTiming a friend. It's not going well on account of them being black and invisible in the dark of the sofa 😂
