Things your cat hates about you

We often have a tawny owl sitting in a tree next to us when it is dark outside that is quite "chatty". I often have the terrace door open and when I hear it, I occasionally copy its sounds. My cat does not approve of that. She tends to jump on my lap, giving me her unfriendly look and meowing at me.

What do your cats hate about you?

The cat hates anyone daring to utter the word 'no'.

This mostly happens when she's scratching carpets or furniture which is her divine right as any fool should know.

Yes I've got a gravy hater too! A liberal sprinkling of dreamies over the top does help to soften the blow though

My cats have a love/hate relationship with me gardening. They love me being outside in the garden, and delight in being able to show off their peeing and pooping skills, but hate me actually gardening, and will come and sit right underneath me while batting at my hands / lying exactly where I'm digging / generally being annoying idiots. Every time I move, they move. Every time I move them, they come straight back. Soooo cute but sooooooooooooo annoying!

Ha ha they do love it when you go into the garden. Especially if it's sunny, rolling all about showing off, like welcome to my territory...

I say to mine "can i pick you up and hold you like a baby?".
She runs off, so i guess that's my answer.
I talk to her in miaow language....she turns away.
She luurves me. I can tell.

When I catch the live mouse he's brought home to play with and put it out the front door.

Or when I can't catch one and I try to enlist his help in removing it. He pretends to be asleep but I know he's quietly revelling in my manic faffing .

Mine, when I had one, didn't like being passed on the stairs. The stairs were her exclusive domain. When I moved in with my husband, I brought her with me and almost immediately she set up home, where else, but on the stairs. Whenever my husband passed her, she lashed out at him, he retaliated by saying "you might be beautiful but you're a bitch" and that none of the male cats previously in his life had sought to ambush him with violence for no apparent reason

I eat cereal too. yes from your bowl. yes while you are still eating it. Get over it.

And other similar food-induced rages.

Because occasionally I try to turn a page or lift a cup or glass. Therefore only one hand is employed in stroking not the required two (Franky)

Because sometimes I don't clearly announce my intentions to have to a bath therefore Bathcat occasionally gets left behind (Jacquetta)

Because once a year we leave her behind to go away for a few days so she sits on top of the luggage so we can't (Sylvester yes female) I'm writing this one with tears as she passed away yesterday

Oo cheddar doesn't like me using the phone. She likes to swipe it when I'm using it.

This the look of disdain that I had this morning while drying my hair. Clearly my lap should available at all times to dry his wet curly arse on. The second I was finished, he was on it!

Ashycat looked absolutely disgusted that I got up at 6am yesterday to go to the Cenotaph.
