Ginge has about 42,000 burrs stuck to her. You can imagine how the removal of them is going...

He goes into the spare room and sleeps on a leather cushion. We keep the old sofa in there.

Ollivander84 · 14/07/2018 15:37

Fred is slaving away

Fred has got it figured out. He hasn't grown into those paws yet, has he?

Ollivander84 · 14/07/2018 15:57

I risked losing a limb to get these

Oh sweetie! Is she losing weight?

Ollivander84 · 14/07/2018 16:11

She's leaning out as she's growing I think

Ohhhhhhhhhh! Adorable! Butter would not melt! Ollie has a rival

Ollivander84 · 14/07/2018 16:14

I won't post the photo of my savaged hand....

OP posts:
YetAnotherSpartacus · 14/07/2018 16:29

You stopped petting too early? Not enough treats?

Ollivander84 · 14/07/2018 16:37

I removed some of the thousands of burrs from her tail. One at a time and exceedingly quickly but didn't move my hand quickly enough...

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 14/07/2018 16:39

'Some'? You mean there are more to go?

Ollivander84 · 14/07/2018 16:53

There were SO many! I got them all off her body but there's a few left on her tail that she was pulling out herself after she savaged me told me to stop

Bless you and your wounded paw! Ginge gets sweeter every week. She is such a beautiful kitty.

How is PB in the heat C? Does it meet with his satisfaction?

Ollivander84 · 14/07/2018 22:06

Yet - Ollie says he's not angry, just disappointed in your Binge love

LanaorAna2 · 14/07/2018 22:47

What can I say? I've been played - the Red Queen always wins.

I think she wants to come and live with you.

Why does she have to live in a cold stable with only rats to eat when she could scoff all the Applaws that can fit in a silver bowl? And her own sofa and personalised blanket?

Ollivander84 · 14/07/2018 22:54

She would be awful as a house cat Grin
Fred would like it I think, Binge would be clawing you around the face if you dared to breathe/move/offer the wrong food
She was taunting a rat earlier... Hmm

Oh, quick reminder of The Litter Tray Glossary of Official Terms that can be helpful when posting re the 'spirited' cat:

savage = 'playful'
violent = 'frisky'
GP visit required = 'lively'
lawyer required = 'full of pep'
A&E or ward admission = 'misunderstood'

LanaorAna2 · 14/07/2018 22:56

I don't fancy that rat's chances much Grin Off to bed with Mr C, who is really terrified of rats.

Ollivander84 · 14/07/2018 23:00

Well then she's a playful, lively, misunderstood Binge Grin

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 14/07/2018 23:16

PB has taken the higher temperature as his right. Grin

Ollivander84 · 14/07/2018 23:19

Well of course. I imagine he's been skipping around the place with joy at this weather. Unlike some Ollie whinges ALL day

Mine seem to be ignoring the heat. I occasionally find what looks like a dead body that's been run over by a steamroller, usually on the back of the sofa, but mostly they are crashed out in the bottom of the wardrobes. The main difference is that in winter they tend to snuggle together in the bottom of one, whereas now there's slightly more chance of them being separate.

Boycat may well get a new nickname soon - "silent but deadly". Lying on the bed this morning with our usual cuddle, my head resting on his flank, when the most dreadful stench assailed my nostrils. Boycat just lay there unconcerned, accepting his belly rubs, and the stench gradually drifted away. I never really thought of cats breaking wind the way dogs do....

LanaorAna2 · 15/07/2018 10:26

Oh Allergic, Gas Attack on Sunday Morning is one of the lesser joys of pet parenting. We've all been there. Well I have Grin

Post bellyrub is a key target time for chemical weaponry to launch.

You're not having to go to the GP are you O? Good luck doing the explaining. Offer to pay Grin

Cozie Grin Grin Grin Glad to know PB has approved of the LW conditions.

I had the most blissful cuddle ever with Mr C this morning. He put his legs round my neck and did rumbly purring while I drowsed in a pillow of cloudsoft fur. He woke me up a bit whenever he wanted ears and chin done.
