Asbo had me doing the same, he was eating in our bedroom till Dh put a stop to it. My excuse that the tiles are cold on his paw paws cut no ice.

cozietoesie · 28/05/2018 12:44

Ollivander84 · 28/05/2018 13:15

Don't leave the bag next to any near priceless porcelain.

LanaorAna2 · 28/05/2018 17:05

Mr C's got up - at 5pm exactly - and toured the flat regally.

I was staggering around with compost and tried to overtake him during the Tour, which apparently isn't on, even if it leaves me carrying 50kg of peat. He flicked his tail at me in reproof.

Making me walk one pace behind him is a step too far.

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/05/2018 17:05

No it was February Cozie.

Ollivander84 · 28/05/2018 17:07

cozie - neither whisky or brandy will eat them either Shock

cozietoesie · 28/05/2018 17:54

Fair enough. February can be icy cold. (That's why I keep the heating on.....) Smile

Ollivander84 · 28/05/2018 18:33

Asked Ollie to catch a fly. He just did his "lub yoooooo momma" face at me and gazed at me Hmm

cozietoesie · 28/05/2018 18:38

PB was fly-catching last night. (Or attempting to - I swear that that cat is SO athletic.) Grin

Ollivander84 · 28/05/2018 18:47

I pity the flies Grin

We don't get many flies here. Just as well for the species what with PB doing (more or less) straddle pike jumps all over the place. Wink

cozietoesie · 28/05/2018 19:09

Mind you, I'd swap his Siamese Shushunovas for that adoring gaze that Ollie is giving you. Grin

Ollivander84 · 28/05/2018 19:12

He won't be soon, I need to ring the VET tomorrow

LanaorAna2 · 28/05/2018 19:55

PB was prob trying to catch a fly as a special snack for His Personal Creature. Mr C gave me a large, angry beetle once. As an early morning treat.

Count yourself lucky Grin PB is incredibly agile, isn't he. Have you tried filming him?

cozietoesie · 28/05/2018 20:10

I have not. (He moves too quickly.)

LanaorAna2 · 28/05/2018 21:06

Yes, I've just remembered cameramen at Wimbledon and the Olympics need to move faster than the athletes to get anything close up on tape, I know someone who does the tennis every year.

One could capture Mr C's activity from dawn to dusk with a single polaroid.

cozietoesie · 28/05/2018 21:13

It's a revelation to me living with a young cat again. Smile

Ollivander84 · 29/05/2018 09:36

VET tonight. That'll be fun Grin

Take courage sweet O!

I had a terrible nightmare last night - a real cracker, woke up screaming. It was a very silly one about DM's valuables.

Mr C had stumped off the bed thanks to the noise and thrashing, but returned when it stopped in the hope of food, landing on my back rather suddenly.

Mr C: Wah wah wah. Pull yourself together. I'm starving.
Me: Mama asleep darling
Mr C: Gimme dreamie
Me: It's ten to five
Mr C: Gimme dreamie. They are next to you (rubs face on spongebag I hide them in)
Me: No darling, only one portion left for your treat later.
Mr C: Pathetic. You might as well go back to sleep. You can hold my tail if you want (drops it on my face)

He did noisy purring to send me back to sleep, and stopped hunting my feet when asked. No claws at all.

Well, except when he landed on my back, that wasn't really his fault.
.

cozietoesie · 29/05/2018 10:29

.... and stopped hunting my feet when asked. No claws at all....

That's a show of real sympathy. Smile

LanaorAna2 · 29/05/2018 11:04

We've had the dreamies and are now reclining with grunty purring.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/05/2018 14:36

VET tonight. That'll be fun

For both of you - and the vet. :(

Ollivander84 · 29/05/2018 14:38

Yet - I suspect he will curl into a ball as usual with his tail slapped over his eyes and refuse to acknowledge he is there. Then chat angrily at me all the way home Grin
