I have got over it. For now Grin

LanaorAna2 · 07/03/2018 11:12

it is a mandrake :)

How much Likelix in Aldi?

LanaorAna2 · 07/03/2018 13:30

Am berserk over the fried onions in a pot. They're like the best bits of a packet of crisps, ie the power-flavoured greasy rubble at the bottom of the bag. But nicer.

Mr C took one look and was sick on the floor. Didn't put me off.

Making soup this pm.

LanaorAna2 · 07/03/2018 18:13

Soup delayed by more troubled family members jostling for attention, each with their own woes. Mr C and self firmly not charging the exhausted phone and on sofa, time for tea and Dreamies. Bliss.

How is PB today? Is Olli ok?

Ollivander84 · 07/03/2018 18:52

I just asked him if he was ok because Mumsnet wanted to know and he gave me this face

I better not translate that look. (It's before the watershed. Grin)

I thought he was being cute!

Weedsnseeds1 · 07/03/2018 19:52

That face says " you know I'm not one to complain, but....."

LanaorAna2 · 07/03/2018 19:58

I might be imagining it but he looks really well!!

Ollivander84 · 07/03/2018 20:21

I think he wanted cuddles and not photos. He's stomped off to his chair now and slapped his tail over his eyes. That's me told

LanaorAna2 · 07/03/2018 20:50

You'll be forgiven at the next (nutritional) opportunity.

I'm still hacking away at the dahl I made - it's a magic pot of endless eating. Mr C pretty sniffy about it. He wants pizza. Or chips. Yes, I can tell.

cozietoesie · 07/03/2018 21:26

Oh he does look well. Just a tad................Grin

Weedsnseeds1 · 07/03/2018 21:34

I think if you are hacking at dhal, the texture may need a little adjustment on the next attempt Lana Smile

Ollivander84 · 07/03/2018 21:44

cozie Shock he's giving you his best "hello Mumsnet cat people" face!

LanaorAna2 · 07/03/2018 22:55

Weeds it looks just like the picture on the packet, I am smug. It is runny enough really, I'm just slightly dahled-out.

Mr C slapped me on the head when I tried to peel him off throw. I broke a rule, it's his half of the sofa. Fair enough.

Woman vs. LongGirlCat - The Rematch

A photo essay

  1. The beast yawns from the middle of the bed.
  1. The peace offering (a.k.a Lidl's finest cat sticks) is extended.
  1. Success! Cat downstairs eating the peace offering. Woman is unscathed.
LanaorAna2 · 07/03/2018 23:42

That is the best Magnum Photostory of Military Might evaaaah. Pic 2 brilliant Grin

The innocent child slumbers on in an emotionally beautiful manner :)

It is so sweet when they won't get off their kitten's bed, though.

TheLongRider · 07/03/2018 23:47

The "innocent child" was supposed to have switched out her light two hours ago. It had been switched back on again. She was asleep and stayed asleep.

The photo doesn't capture the book on the pillow or the standing-stone style alignment of stuffed toys in the bed.

LanaorAna2 · 08/03/2018 09:34

Book on pillow, a fine sign. As I said before, cat in bed was the only thing I stood up to my mother about. And reading. Nothing nicer than reading in bed with cat. Huge benefits for mind body and soul.

Cat is waiting to have nice kip/take its turn caring for the kitten. Child is delighted as cat has graced small duvet with its presence.

TheLongRider · 08/03/2018 10:32

I agree, with the reading in bed and cat on bed. Me, my mum and now DD all read in bed preferably avec mog.

I would let the cat stay on her bed, except the cat doesn't know the rule that "You stay with your human only." Not kick all the bedroom doors open and spread moggy love at ungodly o'clock. That earns you a one-way eviction from paradise.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 08/03/2018 10:37

OMG I love The BIG YAWN.

Ollivander84 · 08/03/2018 10:40

Ollie has spent the morning jumping on the window, looking out, snorting in disgust and running back to bed. On repeat

LanaorAna2 · 08/03/2018 13:22

Long Mr C took easily 80 per cent of the bed and duvet, snored like a drain then woke me at 5am punching me in the face. I agree. Convey to DD that, while she is clearly a young lady of exceptional talent and discrimination, her adult life of loveliness with kitty may be possibly a touch sleep deprived.

Grin
cozietoesie · 08/03/2018 13:38

Huh. My childhood (with Firstcat) was sleep deprived. Grin
