@Ollivander84 - VET day is tomorrow. I have a bag with his blankie and applaws ready
Fingers and paws crossed for Ollie here that all goes well
Last time Honeycomb had to go to the vets, she got slotted into a morning surgery but i was told to fast her from 7pm the evening before and remove water at 7am that morning as there was a big chance she might need sedation or GA.
Her appt was 11am, they needed to keep her for tests and sedation cos she tried to bite the vet, (wee git), she had her xrays, bloods, teeth cleaned, full check up while in a very coperative state (sedated) and was given meds and i rang after 2pm and was told could pick her up around 4.30pm.
The staff had no problem remembering her as she was the only pet who came in with an overnight bag just in case, a dvd player with a dvd of videos for cats on it, a routine timetable, babygro to keep her off her stiches if needed them as collar didnt always work, something for her to shred, her teddy to cuddle, some treats for when she was able to eat, also had a load of puppy pads for her crate for the journey to and from vets, 13 miles each way, on way home about 3 miles in,
She managed a speculator feat in body emission terms she vomited, peed and pooed all in one go and then spent the rest of the journey rolling around in it inside the crate, thankfully she is used to showers as she got one as soon as she got home
@Ollivander84 i find a towel over the back of crate (darkens it so cat will lie down) and under the crate helpful in the car for trying to catch any spillage / emissions
