Well M has certainly made herself at home...

She came out of the carrier immediately, ate the entire lunch I'd put down, and then explored the 'safe room' thoroughly while I was still in there.

I went out of the room for a few minutes and left her to it. When I came back, she was waiting patiently by the door wanting to come out into the next room. So we did that, and she explored every nook and cranny.

Thankfully all meals today have stayed down. Here's another photo.

I’m glad she’s taken to the barrel it took mine months to build up the nerve to go in it! They both sleep on top of it though. What’s that sleeping bag thing? Do I need one?

TheSecondOfHerName · 18/12/2017 08:20

It's this thing which I bought on eBay.

It's supposed to be a bed, but she prefers it unzipped so she can use it as a tunnel.

She is wonderful. So confident and perky. Smile

Either the boxes are getting smaller or the cat is getting bigger.

Or both? Grin

TheSecondOfHerName · 19/12/2017 13:48

Grin Very wise you are.

It's her eyes that get me. On the surface they look like surprise but with closer study, they look, I think, like.......delight? Smile

Second episode of throwing up today.

I had some warning this time: just before she started heaving, she sang the first two lines of the chorus from "What's Up" by 4 Non Blondes.

Keep an eye on it, it's often unexplained & resolves on its own.

TheSecondOfHerName · 21/12/2017 14:33

I strongly suspect that today's episode was caused by cat treats. DS1, DS3 and I had all given her treats this morning (without realising that she'd had any from anyone else) and it's a new flavour she hadn't had before.

cozietoesie · 21/12/2017 14:43

Yes. You have to go fairly easy on treats if they're not used to them.

Out of interest, do you groom her?

TheSecondOfHerName · 21/12/2017 14:48

When she arrived she was not a fan of grooming, but thanks to advice from @monachopis she now tolerates grooming and almost enjoys it.

She hasn't vomited any hairballs.

cozietoesie · 21/12/2017 14:54

Good. Smile

I had to groom Seniorboy daily. (He was too elderly to do it himself - apart from .......personal stuff - and I needed to help out with coat and claws.) I was staggered by the amount of hair that came out (and he wasn't fluffy) but he was never sick with hair balls either.

TheSecondOfHerName · 21/12/2017 15:04

We had our last cat until she was 17. By the end I was doing most of her grooming for her.

Then you know the score. (Siamese love the attention of course.)

TheSecondOfHerName · 22/12/2017 22:18

We've cut out the treats completely for now. Everything she ate today stayed down. Smile

She also discovered the delights of the Christmas tree. Luckily it's in a room that she only has access to when we're in there.

And what a home! (Is that sheepskin pile that she's sitting on? Grin)

TheSecondOfHerName · 24/12/2017 22:20

Yes, I bought a range of textures for her to park her bottom on as I wasn't sure what she'd like. 😂
