Realised I filled up the last thread with inanity!

Come one, come all, what's your cat up to today?

Mine are pleased that I'm home in time for the end of Pointless. Unfortunately they hate Pointless and would rather sit outside in the rain glowering in at me.

It’s sunny and a bit warmer here today so mine is back outside shouting at the birds again. Daft cat!

She gave me the look and hollered at me because I dared to make a phone call whilst she was sitting on my her lap

TheLongRider he/she looks so much like my lovely old boy, now gone, even his/her cute pink nose.

Thanks Want! He's about 7 years old and based in Dublin. I don't know where his original owners got him. He is very pretty and knows it, he goes by the name of Mouse. He's cost me a pretty penny at the vets, between gut issues, idiopathic cystitis and various other ailments!

@Want - we can do a swop. Your white girl reminds me a lot of my DH's first Dublin cat. She was mostly white with some black splodges with the thickest, softest fur. She was living in the garden of our rented house and was semi-feral but we gained her trust over a year and she lived with us for 13 years.

She was my husband's mog, she loved him alone. I was the "other woman" and the evil bitch who took her to the vet. She was amazingly self-possessed and ruled the household and the other cats with an iron paw. My DH still tears up at the memory of her.

Autumnchill Freya is just the same - gets right in the sink and meows until I turn on the tap! She actually does know how to turn on the tap herself, I've seen her do it. She just prefers for her slave to do it for her

Here's mine as a kitten. I found her in the middle of the road at 4 weeks of age. She was in a very bad way. She's the opposite to your DH's old puss. I know how he feels. It took me years to be able to think or talk about my lovely old lad without blubbing.

@caoraich she's currently asleep next to the tap. She has a water fountain but prefers the tap. Not as clever as yours though, she can't turn the tap on

Both of mine are sulking, flea treatment day and had to cut some matted fur out of my long haired cat. Not happy with me!

One of mine is having a day out at the vets to try and find out why he can't shift his cystitis. I'm a bit worried, mainly about if they anaesthetise him and he doesn't come round. I suspect though it might be 'we couldn't find anything unusual, that's £400 please' (thank goodness he is insured)

It is isn’t it want2 gets in the way of his cleaning duties though! Ends up with matted fur in other places.

They both forgave my flea treatment, come bedtime they couldn’t resist a cuddle!
