Realised I filled up the last thread with inanity!

Come one, come all, what's your cat up to today?

Mine are pleased that I'm home in time for the end of Pointless. Unfortunately they hate Pointless and would rather sit outside in the rain glowering in at me.

I thought cats were supposed to have good hearing... ?

The smoke alarm battery went at 5.30am...then I set the alarm off changing the battery. The cat didnt stir.

He's now snuggle up on my knee but has just taken exception to the phone ringing

When I have been away for work mine is always standing pawing at the window to greet me.
OH calls it the "cat alarm".
I had a little snooze with the cat this afternoon, suddenly he went from comatose to red alert in a split second. A few moments later I heard the sound of a wheelie case being pulled down the road. The poor boy was looking at me, then tuning in to the noise, then back at me. Mind blown completely!!

Slightly worried that Basil has now decided that sitting on the shredder is a good idea.

Basil, please ensure that it's always switched off at the wall prior to...

It's a hard life for a kitten

I've just heard next doors dog going even more than usual for the yappy thing mental in the garden, opened the door and Ernie came running in from the spot net to the fence where he used to stare at the dog...until next door tried to block the gap.

DS2 laughed at Ern as he is covered in mud round his face and paws so went outside with the torch.

Looks like he has been trying to dig under the fence..I dont know why as I think he would run off if he was actually confronted by the dog

He made the dog yelp in the summer...hence the gap being blocked

She wanted food, and I lifted a finger at her and said 'in a minute'.

Then madam lifted a tiny furry paw and boxed my shoulder. She won, she's currently snortling some salmon terrine stuff.

Freya and Maisie have been on a mini break to my friend's house up the road while we went away on a long weekend.

They returned home yesterday but are so in the huff that I still can't locate them to photograph them.

Apparently my friend's DH wouldn't let them in the bedroom.

Of course, had I known they would be treated so abominably I'd have sent them elsewhere. They have not thus far been amenable to my explanations, though.

Mine is apparently taking advantage of lax parenting by OH while I am away and refusing to sit for his Lik-e-liks. Then being given it ANYWAY

Here my little friend. I love him so much. He’s very nervy but has started to play beautifully. Dolly broke into the room I’m hiding him in and went up to him and kissed him. Daphne is not so impressed. He will make someone very happy but needs time.

I swear I never even liked cats 18 months ago. I laughed at the madness of them women at work and now I’m one of them.

No I’m just looking after him short term. I dread to think what I would be like if I had a great big flat.

Good god no I don’t have the room. I don’t know what’s going on tbh it’s never been like this in all the years I’ve been here and now there’s at least three, thank goodness they’ve been seen to. They are eating me out is house and home! and the baby just appeared one snowy day and I couldn’t bear it. I know the big ones were looking out for him but I wanted to see if he could be given a chance to be part of a household and he finally walked through my door. He will be very spoilt where ever he ends up.

I'm a bit worried about mine as she's so clingy and I sometimes need some space from her. I think I may put on the radio shortly for her (I'm extremely quiet, it might be difficult for her)

It's been really cold here and the cats are not happy unless they're on a radiator, a hot water bottle or our feet! Can't upload pics for some reason but this morning maisie managed to get her paws inside my (extreeeeemely sexy) fluffy bed socks. Bit of a fright at 6am!

Duke is adorable Each. Such a lovely colour. How sweet of Dolly to welcome him so warmly. Daphne's obviously a harder nut to crack.

Daphne is tucked up enjoying life on the electric blanket. She’s been very swatty towards Dolly since she kissed Duke. And she actually growled at my friend that came to see him tonight and she normally adores my friend. He’s a lovely boy I hate how people seem to get bored of them.

Jeez I’ve just realised all the cats in my house start with a D and how I roll my eyes at work when people name their 5th baby with the same letter as the other 4. I’m doing it myself!
