Realised I filled up the last thread with inanity!

Come one, come all, what's your cat up to today?

Mine are pleased that I'm home in time for the end of Pointless. Unfortunately they hate Pointless and would rather sit outside in the rain glowering in at me.

Vino isn't he lovely. How thoughtful of him to pop in to see you when he's in the neighborhood. I have a Spanish cat, maybe she can translate for us

The tag says something about veterinary college Madrid and there's numbers which I wonder if are his microchip code????
He doesn't stay long enough for a nap and I don't think he's a lap cat but he's friendly enough.

Daphne pooed on the kitchen floor over night. It’s so not her. Some was in the tray and she finished it off outside. Does she know I’m going away I wonder.

I reality wish my neighbour would let them out while I’m away she’s terrified to though.

Yes I'm ok. We are missing our gorgeous Coco and out flat isn't the same without her but we are are all doing ok.
The Cats Protection cats have helped a lot. We are away at points over the holiday but will adopt one of the CP cats in the new year.
"Jose" had fun helping with Ikea furniture today.

Jose is very entertaining. He was playing with a ball, attacking the door frame, rolling on our unassembled new table and so on. He looks part oriental cat with his face shape and blue eyes but isn't very vocal so I'm not sure. He seems quite smart too.

Jose came to visit again today, attacked the Christmas tree then had a made ten minutes attacking the back door frame, garden chair and random things in the back garden. He is bonkers.

We are currently sharing a tub of Hero's, while I pretend to tidy up and put up the last of the Christmas Decorations.
I get the sweets, he gets the wrappers, everyone is happy.
Except the floor is now covered in sweet papers and looks more untidy than when I started!

Weeds I would be doing something similar with the quality street were it not for Basil having other ideas.

I whispered happy Christmas to them and left for five days. I feel terrible!!! They are going to wonder where everyone is.

EachandEveryone I'll be doing the same tomorrow for a few days! I'll really miss them. They'll be OK

Yes they have someone going in twice a day they should be fine. I couldn’t face packing them off to the cattery so soon.

Oh it's heart wrenching leaving them at a cattery.

I had to make the decision to spend xmas away from family this year as I couldn't see any way to transport her and she's had too much change already recently, so I don't want her to have any more distress (we moved twice recently, both of us are fraught :))

I'll have to see if there's a jingle bell cat toy and we can listen to carols together

Our friend Jose keeps dropping by. He has just left after trying to steal our feather duster! I had to retrieve it from the back garden-he was not happy I got his prey.

Mine's making funny little noises, she snuffles, grunts, whimpers, whines and snores in her sleep. I never realised she made this much noise.

She's really clingy at present and doesn't leave me alone

My baby girl has just returned home after being let out about 8am this morning. I was seriously beginning to panic having spent an hour shouting for her in the fields to no avail. I heard her cry in the kitchen and ran through to find her like the end of Homeward Bound or something! Ffs not even a full day and I was a wreck busy fighting with her brother now as I look on in adoration. Phew!!

Ours went out for 12hrs once. By the time he came back Dh & I weren't speaking to each other & I'd rung the chip company to report him lost.

They very nicely told me to ring back the next day & not to worry.

Then I saw him casually strolling up the road, pausing to sniff flowers & generally looking relaxed. I sobbed all over him.

He smelt of older lady perfume

So far this week he's been a bit feisty so Dh has bought him tinned salmon & a new scratch post.
