Realised I filled up the last thread with inanity!

Come one, come all, what's your cat up to today?

Mine are pleased that I'm home in time for the end of Pointless. Unfortunately they hate Pointless and would rather sit outside in the rain glowering in at me.

The difficulty of photographing a black cat.

Ernie has only just figured out that...Dad is in bed during the day so he can go and snuggle up to him. To be fair I was at home a lot so he used to snuggle up on the settee. He's had a few months of being on his own till he discovered ...Dad in bed.

Though one day OH had to get out and go and sleep in another bed as Ernie fidgeted so much Grin

That should have been blob not blog..

TheLongRider · 15/12/2017 21:07

It's fine, she is a fantastic black blob.

She is particularly hard to spot when she's asleep on DD's bed. That's a problem when everyone has gone to bed and forgotten about her. Then she kicks in our bedroom door after midnight and demands to go downstairs!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 16/12/2017 13:15

Want2beme

Love the idea of having a new career as a Basil tamer. Grin

Want2beme · 17/12/2017 00:06

Currently cleaning her paw. Just the one mind. She hasn't bothered with the others & is now under her blanket and will hopefully, sleep through. She was running around the house at 5am this morning, hollerIng and slamming doors. She does this occasionally and I have no idea why.

Mine are both asleep and the daddy cat (Dodger) has discovered the den I made for him and his missus and he’s curled up asleep in it. So, I’m sneaking out for and afternoon session....

BulletFox · 17/12/2017 13:24

I'm really quiet (don't watch tv) and didn't realise until now just how much noise she makes - it's like having a truffling pig.

Snuffle snuffle snuffle, snort, lick. Thankfully she's 'pawsed' for a catnap now

Checklist · 18/12/2017 08:00

I woke up in Saturday night to feel fur in the small of my back - BrotherCat had crawled into bed with me! However, he is used to getting his breakfast around 7.45 am Monday to Friday. As it was Sunday, we had a lie in! By 9.30 am, he was sitting on the end of the bed, glaring pointedly at me - not DH, as I got them, and the deal is I look after them! Pic attached of him in a better mood!

Watson Doesn't looked thrilled with his new outfit.

BulletFox · 18/12/2017 09:22

She nearly knocked me over just now when I returned from the shop, whipping outside as soon as I opened the door (it's just off a stone courtyard).

I rolled my eyes and sat down and sure enough, a few seconds later she was 'tapping' on the door to get back in. Then she whimpered at the seagulls outside (she's not used to them)

caoraich · 18/12/2017 09:31

He looks very.... commanding... checklist Grin

I was on call this weekend so mercifully have a half day off today. However Maisie did insist on purring down the phone at the person who called at 2am on Saturday. She called me again last night and asked "where's the cat?"!

They're both a bit perturbed that I'm still in the house and are trying to scam more breakfast off me...

caoraich - actually, he always reminds me of a mischievous 12 year old boy! When we got them, he was (and still is) much bigger than SisterCat! He was very bright, whereas developmentally she seemed about 3 months behind! However, weeks on antibiotics for a persistent chest infection, and she was like a different cat! She is now brighter than him (3 mice and 1 chaffinch to his nil), more determined and mature whereas he seems to have stood still as a teenager ; and has settled into a cushy life of eat, rest and play (with squishy ball)! Pic of SisterCat, a sufferer of Black Blob syndrome!

fluffy He wasn't thrilled 😁

The costume was swiftly given away

Vinorosso74 · 18/12/2017 14:15

I've not ventured on this thread for a while now we're catless but we have a regular visitor. He pops in for a stroke and brief mooch then off he goes.
There is no name on his tag; it's in Spanish so we call him Jose. He won't stay still for a photo either!

PaxUniversalis · 18/12/2017 16:31

@Vinorosso74

He's a handsome boy. What does his tag actually say?
Does he stay for a snooze too?

caoraich · 18/12/2017 17:33

Ahh Vino Flowers
I think I can sympathise - must be sad looking at other happy moggies. Our other cat Juno got hit by a car this time of year (Christmas eve) and unfortunately I had put loads of cute "christmassy cats" pics of her and Freya up on Facebook in the week beforehand. That "on this day last year" thing is particularly upsetting just now Sad

Your wee visitor is a cutie though, he suits Jose! Wonder what his tag means. Has he come all the way from Spain!? Grin
