I don't think anyone's begun a new thread yet?

Hope you don't mind Cozie. Smile Newboy's Fairy God(cat)mothers love hearing about his progress.

Being a good eater is a fine thing, if you ask me. Is it cold with you - London is suddenly nippy as anything. Heated throw on 6, self on throw, cat on self.

cozietoesie · 29/10/2017 19:45

No. It was quite balmy in the daytime. (Then the heating came on.)

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/10/2017 19:50

I'm getting a heated throw for Christmas. Email links have been sent to Dh.

As Arkwright would say "it's been a funny old day"

Lanaorana2 · 29/10/2017 20:35

Mega well done on DH, F. Untold bliss awaits.

I'm chillin' after a house clearance from someone who died in the Hospice. Natch the family had a good go first, leaving me to bag up so much rubbish it will cost said hospice another 100 quid to pay someone to take it away. Smart move, family - now they can put the zillion-pound gaff on the market without paying granny's care bills or industrial cleaners. Sniff.

I sneaked a lot of it into public bins as well. Blush Grin

Ollivander84 · 29/10/2017 20:46

I read about cats that can bite when you've stroked them too much and they get over stimulated?
Well I've been bear hugging this one for an hour and the more I hug, the louder he purrs Hmm

cozietoesie · 29/10/2017 20:48

Newboy doesn’t allow stroking or hugging. Sad

Ollivander84 · 29/10/2017 20:52

He will Smile I think he's going to be a very loyal one person cat when he's not eyeing you with suspicion. Or you will wake up one day to find him drooling on you

I can post this lump first class? Don't send him back Wink

cozietoesie · 29/10/2017 20:55

Lump? Lump???

Lanaorana2 · 29/10/2017 21:06

Your time will come C; I agree with O that it will be a time of remarkable loveliness when it does, and it will go on and on.

I could Parcelforce Mr C up to you for a cuddle? You have to feed him first, which takes some time, finish with chewstick for belly access.

Ollivander84 · 29/10/2017 21:18

Yes, lump Grin he's quite heavy when he sits on your chest

Allergictoironing · 29/10/2017 21:52

Remember how long it took me to get Boycat to let me touch him? Months & months. Now - strokings are demanded all evening, plus first thing before i get out of bed in the morning. Accompanied by dribbling of course.

Lanaorana2 · 29/10/2017 21:55

Mr C went on me the first night and kipped through. It will exactly 8.5 years of sleeplessness for me tomorrow!! Every night a broken night!!!!!

....just in case you get sentimental C

cozietoesie · 29/10/2017 22:08

I think he was on the bed (checking for spontaneous treat generation) while I was downstairs - I heard a ‘thud’ as I came upstairs. Twice.

I’m just not used to Hijinks in the night, I guess. All my previous boys have slept through by my side. (This one doesn’t know that that’s an option of course.)

Lanaorana2 · 29/10/2017 23:03

He's trying to get you up. Which is a sign of happiness. Games a further sign of merriment. Can you imagine him a) demanding human company b) playing at Badhome?

I rest my case.

Allergictoironing · 30/10/2017 07:18

All my previous boys have slept through by my side

That's what comes of only having one. With more, they happily chase each other up & down the stairs and round the bed once the lights go off at night, and then again as soon as it gets light in the mornings.

Lanaorana2 · 30/10/2017 12:18

C I thought of you at 4am. I was shuddering with cold on the edge of the bed, denied either duvet or mattress. I had a fag and stared at the bleak night, the only sound to break the silence a vigorous raspy snoring.

Got the heated throw and crept bravely onto the mattress piping. Snoring changed to purring. And you think you're missing what, exactly? Grin

cozietoesie · 30/10/2017 13:21

Luurrvvv. Sad

cozietoesie · 30/10/2017 13:23

I’m hoping that he’ll ‘discover’ the heated pad that the postie brought him. (It’s seemingly been ignored to date.)

Ollivander84 · 30/10/2017 13:25

He may do as the weather is very definitely changing now. Might develop an attraction to heat. Warm bodies Grin

cozietoesie · 30/10/2017 13:26

Yes. It’s been cold today.

Ollivander84 · 30/10/2017 14:00

Very. Outside was refused Shock and I got miaowed at until I shut the window

Lanaorana2 · 30/10/2017 18:03

He is learning to love you. Flowers

cozietoesie · 30/10/2017 20:51

I think he loves the food I provide. Wink We seem to have overcome the clock change by the way. Smile

Lanaorana2 · 30/10/2017 21:31

He will love you as well as the fine dining, that's the bit that takes the time.

Mr C had terrible diarrhea every time I stroked him for months when he arrived, I thought it was overeating but it was stress, looking back. Not used to a life of love, neither is Newboy.

Hang in there. The bulbs are stirring but you can't see the green shoots yet.

Also, he behaved beautifully about the clocks.

cozietoesie · 30/10/2017 21:48

I doubt he would dare to misbehave! Grin
